Western media is implicated in the genocide unfolding in Gaza through its double standards against Palestinians, and deep institutional complicity and collusion. Here are the Palestine movement's demands on media workers and institutions.
Since the 7th of October, 25 Palestinian journalists and 13 workers for media agencies have been killed by Israeli bombardment. Over the same period there have been direct attacks on the homes of 35 journalists, killing dozens of their family members. At least 20 of the 25 journalists killed were intentionally targeted by strikes on their homes or during their work covering Israelโs attacks.

The announcement came shortly before the murder of journalist Fuad Abu Khammash, who was accompanying a PRCS ambulance, which brings the journalist's death toll to 116.

In an exclusive MEE interview, Heba Bassem Khres recalls the moment and events that unfolded after her mother was killed, and her son missing. Heba is the daughter of a Palestinian woman, Hala Rashid Abd Al-Ati, who was killed by Israeli forces when they shot her as she was fleeing her neighborhood in Gaza. She was waving a white flag as she was shot and killed.
Heba talks about the tremendous loss she has gone through with losing her mother and being estranged from her son for two months now. She demanded that the world look at her motherโs story, and her own story as a mother of a child who was traumatized, and deem it illegal and inhumane. She ends her interview by saying, โPlease, end the war. Thatโs it.โ
