👉 Time & Sales should attract traders’ attention towards increased activity of sellers or buyers, that is the appearance of a big number of one direction orders in a row. Especially if these are big orders near significant support or resistance levels.

We marked the level, at which the number of traded positions sharply changes, with a black rectangle in the order book. A big limit buy order is posted at this level in the blue field.

☝️ Limit orders are not always posted for executing a trade. Sometimes they are posted for confusing traders or making them believe that market sells will not pass here. We can see big market buys, which successively increase the price from RUB 4,600.5 to RUB 4,606.0, in Time & Sales. The prices move up nearly without any delay, which is a sign of strength.

​​WHAT INDICATORS WILL HELP TO IDENTIFY A FLAT?

👉 A flat is a period of certain calmness in the market. Technical analysis indicators and oscillators, for example, VWAP, MA, BB, Stochastic and RSI, will help to identify flat movement in the market.
VWAP and Moving Average look like smooth horizontal lines in the flat. Stochastic and RSI oscillator values are in the middle and far from extreme points.

The VWAP indicator shows absence of a focused movement best of all (the maroon line in the chart) when the indicator looks like a horizontal line and the price trades close to it.

☝️RSI (the red line in the lower section of the chart) shows small splashes of activity but the values are very far from extreme points.

​​A simple way to identify the LEVEL BREAKOUT of the Maximum Levels indicator

Two candles are sufficient for identifying the volume level breakout:
The hourly time-frame was selected in the chart:
✔️ The first candle should be closed after the level.
✔️ The second candle should confirm that there was a breakout.
✔️ The price should move in the direction of the breakout.
✔️ The candle should also close below the volume level in down movement.
✔️ The form of the breaking and confirming candles should be the trend one in the breakout direction. Which means that candlestick bodies should be bigger than candlestick shadows.

If you see these signs, remember that the probability of movement in the breakout direction is very high in the nearest future.
