引起國際廣泛關注的香港「47人初選案」已正式開審，有在台港生發起聯署聲援被告，多位台灣學者也有參與。
聲明發起人之一、身在台灣的前香港中文大學學生會副會長羅子維，周二（7日）接受本台訪問，他指出「47人初選案」作為《國安法》下規模最大的「政治迫害」，但台灣社會關注度較低，因此希望透過聯署喚醒台灣人關注。台灣與香港除了是共同追求民主、自由，同時也看到台灣的倒影，面對同一敵人，同樣被中共打壓。
羅子維續指，留意到「和平協議」在「九合一選舉」後被重提，他希望台灣人小心。他說：「小心所謂『和平協議』、『一國兩制』的不同序事，所謂的苗頭興起。希望大家可以再看香港的例子，要再小心『和平協議』及不同版本的論述。」
聲明指出，「47人初選案」是《港區國安法》通過後「規模最大的政治迫害」，並透過「設立國安法官、取消陪審團、剝奪被告公開審訊權利等手段，徹底踐踏了香港的司法制度。中國政府只求營造一場政治秀，以撲滅香港人的希望和勇氣」。
反觀台灣，聲明指出一旦台灣盲目相信中國承諾的「和平」或「繁榮」，最終將會「導致整個國家主權的滅亡，無數平民百姓動輒被捕，以往穩定的生活反而消失」。聲明續指，近來台灣面對新政治局勢，一中框架的「和平協議」竟重返公共討論，他們希望台灣社會「毋忘香港前車之鑑，審慎應對中國共產黨拋來的糖衣毒藥」。

今屆奧斯卡金像獎頒獎典禮將於周日（12日）舉行，大會早前邀請武打明星、中國全國政協甄子丹作頒獎嘉賓。有港人於網上發起聯署反對，現時聯署現將近十萬人（截稿時為99,754人），惟奧斯卡官方目前並沒有作出任何回應。
