+ሰኞን ቤተ ክርስቲያን "#ማዕዶት" ብላ እንደምታከብር ትናንት የተመለከትን ሲሆን ማክሰኞን ደግሞ ቤተ ክርስቲያን "#ቶማስ" : አንድም "#አብርሃም" ብላ ታከብረዋለች::

=>ከ12ቱ ቅዱሳን ሐዋርያት አንዱ ሲሆን ለጊዜው ትንሳኤ ሙታንን ከማያምኑ ሰዱቃውያን ወገን በመሆኑ የክርስቶስን ትንሳኤ ተጠራጥሮ ነበር::
ምሥጢሩ "ግን ካላየሁ : ካልዳሰስኩ አላምንም" ያለው ከፍቅሩ የተነሳ እውነት አልመስልህ ብሎት ነው::

+አንድም ጌታ መለኮታዊ ጎኑን እንዲዳስሰው ቢፈቅድለት ነው:: ይህች የቅዱስ ቶማስ እጅ ዛሬ ድረስ ሕያው ናት:: ተአምራትንም ታደርጋለች::

=>ከጻድቃነ ብሊት (ብሉይ) አንዱ የሆነው አባታችን አብርሃም ከጽድቁ የተነሳ ርዕሰ አበው (የአባቶች አለቃ) ተብሏል:: ጌታችን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ የአብርሃም ፈጣሪ ሲሆን የአብርሃም ልጅ መባልን ወዷልና::

+በተለይ በከበረ ትንሳኤ የምናገኛትን መንግስተ ሰማያት በስሙ (የአብርሃም ርስት ተብላ) ተጠርታለችና አባታችን በዚህ ቀን ይታሰባል::

=>እግዚአብሔር ከ2ቱ ታላላቅ ቅዱሳን ጸጋ በረከትን ያድለን::

"✞" እግዚአብሔርም ለአብርሃም ተስፋ
በሰጠው ጊዜ። በእውነት እየባረክሁ እባርክሃለሁ
እያበዛሁም አበዛሃለሁ ብሎ፥ ከእርሱ በሚበልጥ በማንም
ሊምል ስላልቻለ፥ በራሱ ማለ፤
እንዲሁም እርሱ ከታገሰ በኋላ ተስፋውን
አገኘ።
ሰዎች ከእነርሱ በሚበልጠው ይምላሉና፥
ለማስረዳትም የሆነው መሐላ የሙግት ሁሉ ፍጻሜ
ይሆናል፤
ስለዚህም እግዚአብሔር፥ የተስፋውን
ቃል ለሚወርሱ ፈቃዱ እንደ ማይለወጥ አብልጦ
ሊያሳያቸው ስለ ፈቀደ፥ እግዚአብሔር ሊዋሽ በማይቻል
በሁለት በማይለወጥ ነገር፥ በፊታችን ያለውን ተስፋ
ለመያዝ ለሸሸን ለእኛ ብርቱ መጽናናት ይሆንልን ዘንድ፥

=>As the days of Passion Week had names and mysteries related to them so do the days in the week after resurrection. They have names and mysteries related to them as well.

✝️We have seen yesterday that the Church commemorates Monday as “Ma’edot/Crossing-over”. And Tuesday, which is today, the Church commemorates as “Thomas” and also as “Abraham”.  

1. +*"❇️Thomas❇️ "*+
=>He was one of the 12 Apostles but as he was from the Sadducees, those who did not believe in the resurrection of the dead, he doubted the Resurrection of Christ. However, the mystery behind him saying, “I will not believe if I do not see or touch” was the depth of his love [for Christ] which made the resurrection seem unreal to him.

✝️Also it was to show that the Lord had willed it that he touch His side. This hand of St. Thomas is still existent and does miracles.

2. +*"❇️Abraham❇️ "*+
=>Our father Abraham, who is one of the righteous of the Old Testament, for his sanctity was called a Patriarch as our Lord Jesus Christ while the Creator of Abraham loved to be called the Son of Abraham.

✝️Particularly, since the Heavenly Kingdom which we will receive through a glorious resurrection is titled in his name (as Abraham’s Inheritance), our father is commemorated on this day. 

=>May God endow us from the grace and blessings of the two great Saints.

+*" ቅዱስ ዮሐንስ መጥምቅ "*+

=>ቅዱስ ወንጌል ላይ ከእመቤታችን ቀጥሎ የነዘካርያስን ቤተሰብ ያህል ክብሩ የተገለጠለት ፍጡር ይኖራል ብሎ መናገሩ ይከብዳል:: ቅዱስ ሉቃስ ወንጌሉን የጀመረው በዚህ ቅዱስ ቤተሰብ ነውና መንፈስ ቅዱስ እንዲህ ሲል አጽፎታል:: "ዘካርያስ ካህኑና ቅድስት ኤልሳቤጥ በሰውና በእግዚአብሔር ፊት ያለ ነቀፋ የሚኖሩ ጻድቃን ነበሩ" ይላቸዋል:: (ሉቃ. 1:6)

*የሰውን እንተወውና በእግዚአብሔር ፊት ያለ ነቀፋ መኖር ምን ይረቅ? ለዚህ አንክሮ (አድናቆት) ይገባል!
እሊህ ቅዱሳን ባልና ሚስት ግን መካኖች በመሆናቸው ልጅ ሳይወልዱ ዘመናቸው አልፎ ነበር:: እንደ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ትውፊት ዕድሜአቸው የኤልሳቤጥ 90 የዘካርያስ 100 ደግሞ ደርሶ ነበር::

*ፍጹም መታገሳቸውን የተመለከተ ጌታ በስተእርጅናቸው ከሰው ሁሉ በላይ የሆነ: ትንቢት ለብቻው የተነገረለት (ኢሳ. 40:3, ሚል. 3:1) ታላቅ ነቢይን ይሰጣቸው ዘንድ መልአከ ብሥራት ቅዱስ ገብርኤልን ላከላቸው::

*ቅዱስ ዘካርያስ ሰው ነውና ከደስታ ብዛት በመከራከሩ ድዳ ሆነ:: ቅድስቲቷ ግን መስከረም 26 ቀን ታላቁን ሰው ጸንሳ ለ6 ወራት ራሷን ሠወረች:: በ6ኛው ወር የፍጥረት ሁሉ ጌታ በተጸነሰ ጊዜ የአርያም ንግሥት ድንግል እመቤታችን ደጋ ደጋውን ወደ ኤልሳቤጥ መጣች:: ሁለቱ ቅዱሳት የእህትማማች ልጆች ናቸው::

*የአምላክ እናቱ ስትደርስና "ሰላም" ስትላቸው መንፈስ ቅዱስ በእናትና ልጅ ወርዶ ኤልሳቤጥ በምስጋና: ዮሐንስ ደግሞ ገና በማሕጸን ሳለ በደስታ ዘለለ (ሰገደ):: ከዚህ በሁዋላ ሰኔ 30 ተወልዶ: አባቱ ዘካርያስ "ዮሐንስ" ሲለው አንደበቱ ተፈትቶለታል::

*ቅዱስ ዮሐንስ ከተወለደ 2 ዓመት ከ6 ወር በሆነው ጊዜ
ሰብአ ሰገል በመምጣታቸው በእሥራኤል ምድር የሚገኙ
ሕጻናትን
ሔሮድስ ቁዝ አስፈጀ:: ትንሽ ቆይቶም አይሁድ ለሔሮድስ
ስለ ቅዱሱ ሕጻን ነገሩት:: "ሲጸነስ የአባቱን አንደበት
የዘጋ:
ሲወለድ ደግሞ የከፈተ 'ዮሐንስ' የሚባል ሕጻን አለና
እሱንም ግደል" አሉ::

*እናቱ ቅድስት ኤልሳቤጥ ይዛው ስትሸሽ ካህኑን
ዘካርያስን ግን በቤተ መቅደስ መካከል ገድለውታል::
አረጋይት ኤልሳቤጥም
ሕጻኑን እያሳደገች በገዳመ ዚፋታ ለ3 (5) ዓመታት
ቆይታለች:: ቅዱስ ዮሐንስ 5 (7) ዓመት ሲሞላው ግን
እዚያው
በበርሃ እናቱ ዐረፈች:: ከሰማይ ዘካርያስና ስምዖን ወርደው
ቀበሯት::

*ሕጻኑ ዮሐንስ ሲያለቅስ ድንግል ማርያም ስንት አገር
አልፋ ሰማችው:: እርሷም ስደት ላይ ነበረችና:: ከጌታ ጋር
በደመና
ሒደው ድንግል አቅፋ አጽናናችው:: ጌታንም "እንውሰደው
ይሆን?" አለችው:: ጌታችን ግን "ለአገልግሎት
እስክጠራው እዚህ
ይቆይ" አላት:: ባርካው: አጽናንታውም ተለያዩ::

*ቅዱስ ዮሐንስ ከዚህ በኋላ በዚያ ቆላ የግመል ጠጉር
ለብሶ: ጠፍር ታጥቆ ተባሕትዎውን ቀጠለ:: ለ25 (23)
ዓመታትም
በንጽሕና ሲኖር ከምድር አራዊትና ከሰማይ መላእክት
በቀር ማንንም አላየም:: ይሕችን ዐመጸኛ ዓለምም
አልቀመሳትም::

*ከዚህ በኋላ 30 ዘመን ሲሞላው እግዚአብሔር ከሰማይ
ተናገረው:: "ሒድ! የልጀን ጐዳና ጥረግ" አለው:: ነቢያት
ስለዚህ
ነገር ተናግረው ነበርና:: (ኢሳ. 40:3, ሚል. 3:1) አባቱ
ዘካርያስም "ወአንተኒ ሕጻን ነቢየ ልዑል ትሰመይ: እስመ
ተሐውር ቅድመ እግዚአብሔር ከመ ትጺሕ ፍኖቶ" (ሉቃ.
1:76) ብሎ መንገድ ጠራጊነቱን ተናግሮ ነበርና::

*ቅዱስ ዮሐንስ በዚያ ጊዜ በኃይለ መንፈስ ቅዱስ
እየገሰገሰ ከበርሃ ወደ ይሁዳ መጣ:: ያዩት ሁሉ ፈሩት:
አከበሩት::
ቁመቱ ቀጥ ያለ: ጽሕሙ እንደ ተፈተለ ሐር የወረደ: ጸጉሩ
የቁራ ያህል የጠቆረ: መልኩ የተሟላ: ግርማው
የሚያስፈራ
ገዳማዊ ነውና::

*ፈጥኖም ሕዝቡን ለንስሃ ሰበከ: ለንስሃም በርካቶችን
አጠመቃቸው:: በዚህ አገልግሎት ለ6 ወራት ቆይቶ
ጌታችን ወደ እርሱ
ዘንድ መጣ:: ዮሐንስ ሰማይን ከነግሱ: ምድርን ከነልብሱ
የያዘ ፈጣሪ 'አጥምቀኝ' ብሎ ሲመጣ ደነገጠ::
የሚገባበትም
ጠፋው::

*"እንቢ ጌታየ! አንተ አጥምቀኝ" አለው:: ጌታ ግን
"ፈቅጄልሃለሁ" አለው: አጠመቀው:: በዚህ ምክንያት
ይሔው እስከ
ዛሬም "መጥምቀ መለኮት" ሲባል ይኖራል:: ቅዱስ
ዮሐንስ በመጨረሻ ሔሮድስን ገሰጸው:: ንጉሡም ተቀይሞ
ለ7 ቀናት አሠረው::

*በዚህች ቀንም ልደቱን ባከበረ ጊዜ ወለተ ሔሮድያዳ
በዘፈን አጥምዳ አስማለችው:: እርሱም የታላቁን ነቢይ
ራስ አስቆርጦ
በወጪት አድርጐ ሰጣት:: አበው "እምሔሶ ለሔሮድስ
ይብላዕ መሐላሁ - ሔሮድስ መሐላውን በበላ በተሻለው
ነበር" ይላሉ::
የቅዱስ ዮሐንስ ራሱ በርራ ስትሔድ አካሉን ግን ደቀ
መዛሙርቱ ቀብረውታል:: (ማቴ. 3:1, ማር. 6:14, ሉቃ.
3:1, ዮሐ. 1:6)

*ርጉም ሔሮድስ አንገቱን ካስቆረጠው በኋላ የመጥምቁ
ቅዱስ ዮሐንስ ራሱ የጸጋ ክንፍ ተሰጥቷት ጌታችን
ወዳለበት ደብረ
ዘይት ሔዳ በፊቱ ሰገደች:: ቅዱሳን ሐዋርያትበኋላ በአዩት
ነገር ተገርመው ራሱን እጅ ነሷት::

*ከዚሕ በኋላ ጌታችን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ለቅዱስ ዮሐንስ
ራስ የማስተማር ስልጣን ሰጥቶ አሰናበታት:: በመላው
ዓለም ለ15
ዓመታት ስትሰብክ ኑራ በዚህች ቀን ዓረቢያ ውስጥ
ዓርፋለች::

✞✞✞On this day we commemorate the departure of the Great Prophet and Martyr Saint John the Baptist✞✞✞

✞✞✞In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, one God. Amen!✞✞✞

✞✞✞Saint John the Baptist✞✞✞

=>It is difficult to say that in the Gospel there is someone whose honor was mentioned as much as the family of Zacharias, except our Lady. St. Luke started his Gospel with this family and the Holy Spirit inspired him to write the following. “And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.”(Luke 1.6)

✞Let’s leave ‘before mankind’, but how transcendent is it to live blameless before God? And to this, awe is appropriate!

✞These holy husband and wife, because they were barren, most of their days/ages were spent without bearing a child. And according to the Tradition of the Church, the age of Elisabeth was 90 and Zacharias had reached 100.

✞However, the Lord who saw their patience, sent the angel of annunciation, St. Gabriel, to give them [annunciate the birth of] a great prophet, who was greater than men and about whom a prophecy was told (Isaiah 40.3/ Malachi 3.1).

✞St. Zacharias, because he was a human and argued [with the announcing angel] from joy, was made dumb. Nonetheless, Saint Elisabeth conceived the great man on Meskerem 26 (October 6) and concealed herself for 6 months. And on the sixth month, when the Lord of all creation was conceived (assumed flesh [human nature]), the Queen of Heaven, our Lady the Virgin Mary, came to Elisabeth through the hill country. The two Saints were daughters of sisters.

✞And when the Theotokos (Mother of God) reached and saluted them, the Holy Spirit descended upon the mother and child; hence Elisabeth praised and John while in the womb leaped (prostrated) with joy. Then, he was born on Sene 30 (July 7) and Zacharias, his father, was able to speak as he named him “John.” 

✞When St. John was 2 years and 6 months old, because the wise men came, Herod the ‘Great’ slaughtered the children that were found in Israel. Later, the Jews told Herod about the holy child [St. John]. They said to him, “Because there is a child who had shut his father’s mouth and opened it when he was born [miraculously]. Kill him as well.”

✞And when St. Elisabeth, his mother, took him and fled, they (the soldiers) killed the priest Zacharias in the middle of the Temple. The old woman, Elisabeth, raised the child and stayed in the Desert of Zifata for 3 (5) years. And when St. John was 5(7) years old, his mother passed away in the desert. Hence, Zacharias and Simeon descended from heaven and buried her.

✞And when the child John cried, the Virgin Mary heard him from far away as she was also in exile. She went with the Lord by a cloud and comforted him. Then, she asked the Lord saying, “Shall we take him?” However, our Lord answered, “Until I call him for ministry, let him stay here.” After that she blessed, consoled St. John and they departed.

✞After this, St. John, in that desert, lived in asceticism wearing a raiment of camel's hair and a leathern girdle about his loins. And for 25 (23) years, while living in purity, he did not see anyone except beasts of the field and heavenly hosts. He did not know the tang of this rebellious world.

✞Then, when he became 30, God spoke to him from heaven. And because the prophets had prophesized about it, He said to him, “Go! Pave the way for My Son” (Isaiah 40:3/Malachi 3:1). Also Zacharias, his father, had said, “And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways” about his forerunning (Luke 1:76).

✞At this time, St. John, filled with the Power of the Holy Spirit, came hurriedly to Judea from the desert. And all those that saw him feared and respected him.

This was because he was a hermit whose stamina was upright, beard came down like woven silk, hair was as dark as a raven, and had an appearance that was complete and had an impression that triggered fear.

✞He immediately preached to the people to repent and baptized many unto repentance. And after six months in this ministry, our Lord came to him. And John was alarmed when the Creator, Who holds heaven and earth with everything in them in His hands, came saying, “Baptize Me.” St. John did not know where to go.

✞He said, “No my Lord! You baptize me.” However, the Lord responded with, “I have permitted it [for you St. John to baptize Me].” Thence, he baptized Him. And for this, he will always be called, “Metmeqe Melekot” (the Baptist). Finally, St. John rebuked Herod (Antipas). And the king led by a grudge imprisoned him for 7 days. 

✞And when Herod celebrated his birthday, the daughter of Herodias trapped him with music and persuaded him to make a vow. And he gave her the head of the great prophet in a charger, after decapitating him. The scholars say, “it was better for Herod if he had swallowed up [have not honored] his vow.” Thereafter, while the decapitated head of St. John flew away, his disciples buried his body (Matthew 3:.1/ Mark 6:14/ Luke 3:1/ John 1.:6).

✞The head of John the Baptist flew with wings of grace after the cursed Herod beheaded the Saint and it bowed down before the Lord at Mt. Olive, where He was. The Holy Apostles astounded by what they saw, gave salutations to the Saint’s head.

✞After this, our Lord Jesus Christ, gave authority to St. John’s head to preach and sent it forth. Hence, it spent 15 years preaching all over the world and on this day it rested in Arabia.

ትባላለች:: ጌታችን ከሙታን ስላስነሳው ዕለቷ የሐዋርያው
መታሰቢያ ሆናለች::

+ቅዱስ አልዓዛር በሃገረ ቢታንያ ከእህቶቹ ማርያና ማርታ
ጋር ይኖር ነበር:: ሦስቱም ድንግልናቸውን ጠብቅው
ጌታችንን ያገለግሉት ነበርና አልዓዛርን ከ72ቱ አርድእት
ማርያና ማርታን ደግሞ ከ36ቱ ቅዱሳት አንስት
ቆጥሯቸዋል::

+በወንጌል ጌታችን ይወዳቸው እንደነበር ተገልጧል::
ጌታችን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ሲወድ የሚያበላልጥ ሆኖ
አይደለም:: ይልቁኑ በምሥጢር እነርሱ ተወዳጅ
የሚያደርጋቸውን ሥራ ይሠሩ እንደነበር ሲነግረን ነው
እንጂ::

+ቅዱስ መጽሐፍ እንደ ነገረን ጌታችን በነ አልዓዛር ቤት
በእንግድነት ይስተናገድ ነበር:: በመጨረሻዋ ምሴተ
ሐሙስም ቅዱስ ሥጋውንና ክቡር ደሙን ለሐዋርያቱ
ያቀበላቸው በእነዚህ ቅዱሳን ቤት ውስጥ ነው::

+ቅዱስ አልዓዛር በጽኑዕ ታሞ አርፏል:: ቅዱሳት እህቶቹ
ማርያና ማርታ ከታላቅ ለቅሶ ጋር ዕለቱኑ ቀብረውታል::
(ዮሐ. 11)
ቸር ጌታችን ክርስቶስ ከ4 ቀናት በሁዋላ ሊያስነሳው
ይመጣል::

+ለስም አጠራሩ ስግደት: ክብር: ጌትነት ይድረሰውና
አምላካችን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ አልዓዛር ባረፈ በአራተኛው
ቀን ወደ ቢታንያ ደረሰ:: ማርታ ቀድማ ወጥታ ከእንባ ጋር
ተቀበለችው::

+"አዳም ወዴት ነህ" ያለ (ዘፍ. 3) የአዳም ፈጣሪ
"አልዓዛርን ወዴት ቀበራችሁት" አለ:: ቸርነቱ: ባሕርዩ
ያራራዋልና ማርያም ስታለቅስ ባያት ጊዜ አብሮ አለቀሰ::

+ከዚያም በባሕርይ ስልጣኑ "አልዓዛር! አልዓዛር!" ብሎ
አልዓዛርን አስነሳው:: ይሕች ተአምርም በአይሁድ ዘንድ
ግርምት ሆነች:: ለጌታም የሞት ምክንያት አደረጉዋት::
ቅድስት ቤተ ክርስቲያን መጽሐፍ ቅዱስን መሠረት አድርጋ
እንዲህ ታስተምራለች:: (ዮሐ. 11:1-ፍጻሜው)

+ቅዱስ አልዓዛር ጌታችን ካስነሳው በሁዋላ በበዓለ ሃምሳ
መንፈስ ቅዱስን ተቀብሎ (ቁጥሩ ከ72ቱ አርድእት
ነውና) : ለ40 ዓመታት ወንጌልን አስተምሮ : በ74 ዓ/ም
አካባቢ ቆዽሮስ ውስጥ አርፏል::

=>የጌታችን ቸርነቱ : የአልዓዛር በረከቱ ይድረሰን::

=>+"+ ጌታ ኢየሱስም 'ብታምኚስ የእግዚአብሔርን ክብር
እንድታዪ አልነገርሁሽምን?' አላት . . . ይሕንም ብሎ
በታላቅ ድምጽ 'አልዓዛር ሆይ ወደ ውጭ ና' ብሎ ጮኸ::
የሞተውም እጆቹና እግሮቹ በመግነዝ እንደ ተገነዙ ወጣ::
ፊቱም በጨርቅ እንደ ተጠመጠመ ነበረ:: ጌታ ኢየሱስም

✝️✝️✝️Resurrection Week - Pascha Week✝️✝️✝️

+*"❇️Resurrection Wednesday – Day of Saint Lazarus/ Lazarus Wednesday❇️ "*+

=>In Resurrection Week, Wednesday is called Lazarus. Because our Lord raised him from the dead, the day has become a day for his commemoration.

✝️St. Lazarus lived in Bethany with his sisters, Mary and Martha. All three served the Lord and were virgins, hence He counted Lazarus among the 72 Disciples and Mary together with Martha with the 36 Holy Women.

✝️It is written in the Gospel that our Lord loved them. This was not because our Lord loves one more than the other. Rather, the Gospel is telling us allegorically that they were found doing deeds that made them to be loved.

✝️As the Holy Bible informs us the Lord used to be served as a guest in the house of Lazarus. And it was in the house of these Saints that on Holy Thursday He gave from His Holy Body and Blood to the Apostles.

✝️At one time, Lazarus became very ill and he died. His holy sisters with great sorrow buried him on the day he passed (John 11). And our Good Lord went [to them] 4 days later to raise him from the dead.

✝️May prostration, glory and lordship be to the invocation of His name, our Creator Jesus Christ, reached Bethany on the fourth day after Lazarus had passed away. Martha then went out first and received Him with tears.

✝️The Creator of Adam that said, “Where art thou Adam?” (Gen. 3) said, “Where have you laid Lazarus?” as well. As His goodness and nature make Him compassionate, He wept with Mary when she cried.

✝️And by His authority (as He is God the Son) He said, “Lazarus, Lazarus” and raised him. And this miracle became awe inspiring among the Jews. And it also made it a reason to crucify/kill the Lord. And the Holy Church basing the Holy Bible teaches us as such. (John 11:1-end of chapter)

✝️St. Lazarus, after he was raised by our Lord and received the [gifts of the] Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost (as he was one of the 72), preached the Gospel for 40 years and passed away in Cyprus in 74 A.D.

=>May the mercy of our Lord and the blessing of Lazarus reach us.

+"+Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? . . . And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
