✞✞✞Saint Jason the Apostle✞✞✞
=>The forgetfulness of commemorating the names of the saints and their deeds is one of the sad things of our day and age. As if their blood was not shed and their bones were not crushed for the Church, we see today no one remembering them or most failing to recall even their names. 

✞On top of that, some heretics accuse us, the Orthodox Tewahedo believers, as if we only are preaching about the saints and not about Christ.

✞Overlooking the Holy Apostles (the 120) is one of the major dismaying aspects [of today].  And because the names of many of the 120 Disciples have been forgotten and as the scholars have also chosen to stay silent, when we call on the names of the 72 Disciples saying, “Jason, Erastus, Epaphroditus, Phorus (Fournous) . . .” a generation that is bewildered has came up. 

✞Let us at least remember the Apostles and the major saints! And that is because by commemorating them, we and not they are benefited.

=>Saint Jason, whom we commemorate today, was one of the 72 Disciples. He followed our Lord after His baptism and had learned under Him for 3 years. Then, after the ascension of our Lord, he went out to evangelize after receiving the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

✞The Saint has preached with St. Paul by going back and forth [to many places]. He also suffered with him. And after the great Apostles received martyrdom, he passed on what he had heard word for word from our Lord Jesus Christ to the then new Christian generation which arose.
 
✞Because he preached the Gospel, gentiles imprisoned, beat, and tried him many times. And at time, they even burned him. However, his Creator used to miraculously save him as He had not departed from him.

✞The Saint captured many souls to Christianity including bandits by going outside the city [where he preached in], from the wilderness and from prisons as well. St. Jason preached for many years and departed [on this day] in a good old age.

✞✞✞Empress Welete Maryam of Ethiopia✞✞✞
=>Also on this day, Blessed Welete Maryam the Ethiopian, our Mother, is commemorated.

✞Welete Maryam was the wife of Emperor Naod, and the mother of Emperor Lebna Dengel and Saint Romane Work. During the years she was Empress (from 1487-1500E.C), as it was a time of famine, many people perished.

✞Nonetheless, Blessed Welete Maryam, in addition to prayer and fasting, saved many of the starved by providing them with food.  She was also praised for leading the royal family to a good Christian life. And on this day, after her passing, she was entombed.

✞✞✞May our God not detach us from the blessings of the Saints.

=>በቅድስት ቤተ ክርስቲያን ያለ ምክንያት የሚደረግ : ያለ ምሥጢርም የሚከወን ምንም ነገር የለም:: የሃይማኖትን ትምህርት አብዝተን በተማርን ቁጥር የምናውቀው አለማወቃችን ነውና ምንም ያህል ብንማር : የአዋቂነት መንፈስም ቢሰማን ከመጠየቅ ወደ ጐን አንበል:: መጠየቅ ለበጐ እስከሆነ ድረስ ሁሌም ሸጋ ነው:: ግን ልብን እያጣመሙ ቢያደርጉት ደግሞ ገደል ይከታል::

+ወደ ጉዳዬ ልመለስና ሁሌ የሚገርመኝ የትውልዱ አመለካከት ነው:: ጾም ሲመጣ "ለምን? . . . አልበዛም? . . ." ዓይነት ቅሬታዎች ይበዛሉ:: በዓለ ሃምሳ ሲመጣ ደግሞ "እንዴት ይህን ያህል ቀን ይበላል? . . ." ባዩ ይከተላል::

+ቤተ ክርስቲያን ግን ሁሉን የምትለን ለጉዳይ : ለምክንያትና ለእኛ ጥቅም ነው:: ለምሳሌ:- በዓለ ሃምሳ ድንገት እንደ እንግዳ ደርሶ : እንደ ውሃ ፈሶ የመጣ ሥርዓት አይደለም:: ይልቁኑ ምሳሌ ተመስሎለት በብሉይ ኪዳንም ሲከወን የነበረ እንጂ::

+እንደሚታወቀው እስራኤል ከግብጽ ባርነት በ9 መቅሰፍት : በ10ኛ ሞተ በኩር ወጥተው : በ11ኛ ስጥመት ጠላት ጠፍቶላቸው ወደ ምድረ ርስት ተጉዘዋል:: ቅዱስና የእግዚአብሔር ሰው ሙሴም ከእግዚአብሔር እየተቀበለ ብዙ ሥርዓቶችን ለቤተ እስራኤል አስተምሯል::

+እነዚህ ሥርዓቶች ሁሉ ለሐዲስ ኪዳን ምሥጢረ ድኅነት ጥላና ምሳሌዎችም ነበሩ:: በኦሪት ዘሌዋውያን ላይ ጌታ እንዲህ ይላል:-
". . . ከሰንበት ማግስት ፍጹም ሰባት ጊዜ ሰባት ቀን ቁጠሩ:: እስከ ሰባተኛ ሰንበት ማግስት ድረስ አምሳ ቀን ቁጠሩ:: አዲሱንም የእህል ቁርባን ወደ እግዚአብሔር አቅርቡ::" (ዘሌ. 23:15)

+ይህም "በዓለ ሰዊት (የእሸት በዓል)" የሚባል ሲሆን ከፋሲካ 7 ሱባኤ (49 ቀን) ተቆጥሮ : በሰንበት (ቅዳሜ) ማግስት (እሑድ ቀን) በዓለ ሃምሳ ይውላል:: በዓሉ በግሪክኛው "ዸንጠቆስቴ (Pentecost)" ይባላል:: "በዓለ ሃምሳ" እንደ ማለት ነው::

+ለዚያም ነው ቅዱስ መጽሐፍ የመንፈስ ቅዱስ ለሐዋርያት በዚህ ቀን መሰጠትን ሊነግረን ሲጀምር "ወአመ ተፈጸመ መዋዕለ ዸንጠኮስቴ . . ." የሚለው:: (ሐዋ. 2:1) በዓለ ሃምሳ (50ው ቀናት) በብሉይ "የእሸት በዓል" ቢባሉም ለሐዲስ ኪዳን ግን "የሰዊት (እሸት) መንፈሳዊ" ዕለታት ናቸው::

+ጌታ መድኃኔ ዓለም ስለ እኛ መከራ ተቀብሎ : ሙቶ ከተነሳ በሁዋላ 50 ያሉት ቀናት የዕረፍት : የተድላ : የመንፈሳዊ ሐሴት ቀናት ናቸው:: በእነዚህ ዕለታት ማዘን : ማልቀስ : ሙሾ ማውረድ : ንስሃ መግባት ወዘተ. አይፈቀድም::

=>ለምን?

1.ለእኛ ካሣ በጌታችን መፈጸሙን የምሰናስብባቸው ቀናት ናቸውና:: በእነዚህ ዕለታት ብናዝን "አልተካሰልንም" ያሰኛልና::

2.በዚህ ጊዜ መስገድ : መጾም "ክርስቶስ በከፈለልን ዋጋ ሳይሆን በራሴ ድካም (ተጋድሎ) ብቻ እድናለሁ" ከማለት ይቆጠራልና::

3."ፍስሐ ወሰላም ለእለ አመነ - ላመን ሁሉ ደስታና ሰላም ተደረገልን" ተብሎ በነግህ በሠርክ በሚዘመርበት ጊዜ ማዘን . . . ሲጀመር ካለማመን : ሲቀጥል ደግሞ "ደስታው አይመለከተኝም" ከማለት ይቆጠራልና::

4.50ውም ቀናት እንደ ዕለተ ሰንበት ይቆጠራሉና:: መጾምና መስገድ በዓል ያስሽራልና::

5.ዋናው ምሥጢር ግን እነዚህ 50 ዕለታት የአዝማነ መንግስተ ሰማያት (የሰማያዊው ዕረፍት) ምሳሌዎች ናቸው::

ስለዚህ በእነዚህ ቀናት መጾም : መስገድ "መንግስተ ሰማያት ውስጥ ከገቡ በሁዋላ ድካም : መውጣት መውረድ አለ" ያሰኛልና ነው::

+በዚያውም ላይ "ኢታጹርዎሙ ጾረ ክቡደ (ከባድ ሸክም አታሸክሙ)" የተባለ ትዕዛዝ አለና ቅዱሳን አበው በጾም የተጐዳ ሰውነት ካልጠገነ ወጥቶ ወርዶ : ሠርቶ መብላት ይቸግረዋልና ሰውነታችን እንዲጠገን : ይህንን በፈሊጥ ሠርተዋል::

+ስለዚህም:-
"ሐጋጌ አጽዋም እምስቴ::
ወሠራዔ መብልዕ በዸንጠኮስቴ::" እያልን አበውን እናከብራለን:: (አርኬ)

+ስለዚህ በበዓለ ሃምሳ ጾም : ስግደት : ንስሃ : ሐዘን : ልቅሶ . . . የለም:: አይፈቀድምም::
<<ግን ይህንን ተከትሎ 50ውን ቀን ሙሉ ሆድ እስኪተረተር ከበላን ጉዳቱ ሥጋዊም : መንፈሳዊም ይሆናል!!>>

+አበው እንደነገሩን "እንደ ልባችሁ ብሉ" ሳይሆን የተባለው "ጦም አትዋሉ" ነው:: ለምሳሌ:-

1.በልቶ ጠጥቶ ከሚመጣ ኃጢአት : ክፋትና ፈተና ለመጠበቅ 50ውን ቀናት ጥሬ የሚበሉ አሉ::
2.ጠዋት ተመግበው ከ24 ሰዓት በሁዋላ ጠዋት የሚመገቡ አሉ::
3.መጥነው ጥቂት በልተው አምላካቸውን የሚያመሰግኑ አሉ::
4.ነዳያንን አጥግበው እነርሱ ከነዳያን ትራፊ የሚቀምሱ አሉ::

+እኛም ከእነዚህ መካከል የሚስማማንን መርጠን ልንከውን : በተለይ ደግሞ በጸሎት ልንተጋ ይገባል:: አልያ ብሉ ተብሏል ብለን ያለ ቅጥ ብንበላ : ብንጠጣ እኛው ራሳችን የሰይጣን ራት መሆናችን ነውና ልብ እንበል:: ማስተዋልንም ገንዘብ እናድርግ::

"እንደ ሥጋ ፈቃድ የሚኖሩ የሥጋን ነገር ያስባሉና:: እንደ መንፈስ ፈቃድ የሚኖሩ ግን የመንፈስን ነገር ያስባሉ::
ስለ ሥጋ ማሰብ ሞት ነውና:: ስለ መንፈስ ማሰብ ግን ሕይወትና ሰላም ነው::
ስለ ሥጋ ማሰብ በእግዚአብሔር ዘንድ ጥል ነውና:: ለእግዚአብሔር ሕግ አይገዛምና:: መገዛትም ተስኖታል::
በሥጋ ያሉትም እግዚአብሔርን ደስ ሊያሰኙት አይችሉም::" (ሮሜ. 8:5)

=>ከትንሳኤ ሳምንት ይህች ዕለት "ቅዱሳት አንስት" (የተቀደሱ ሴቶች) ተብላ ትጠራለች::

+በወቅቱ በኢየሩሳሌምና ዙሪያዋ ከተከተሉት ሴቶች ጌታችን 36ቱን መርጧል:: እነዚህ እናቶች ከዋለበት ውለው : ካደረበት አድረው : የቃሉን ትምሕርት ሰምተዋል:: የእጁንም ተአምራት አይተዋል:: ፈጽመውም አገልግለውታል::

+መጽሐፍ "አንስተ ገሊላ ኩሎን::
አዋልዲሃ ለጽዮን::
አስቆቀዋሁ ለመድኅን::
ከመ ዖፈ መንጢጥ እንዘ ይሤጽራ ገጾን::" ይላልና በዕለተ ዐርብ ፊታቸወውን እየነጩ : ደረታቸውን እየደቁ : እንባቸውም እንደ ጐርፍ እየፈሰሰ አብረውት ውለዋል::

+ጌታም ፍጹም ፍቅራቸውን ተመልክቷልና ከሁሉ አስቀድሞ ትንሳኤውን ለእነሱ ገለጠላቸው:: እነርሱም ትንሳኤውን በመፋጠን አብሥረዋል:: "ሰበካ ትንሳኤ፡ አዋልዲሃ ለጽዮን" እንዳለ ማኅሌታይ ቅዱስ ያሬድ፡፡ በዚህም ምክንያት ይህች ዕለት "ቅዱሳት አንስት" ተብላ ትከበራለች::

=>አምላካችን በፍቅርና በቅድስና ጌጥ ካጌጡ እናቶቻችን በረከትን ያድለን::

=>+"+ መልአኩም መልሶ ሴቶቹን አላቸው:- 'እናንተስ አትፍሩ:: የተሰቀለውን ኢየሱስን እንድትሹ አውቃለሁና:: እንደተናገረ ተነስቷልና በዚሕ የለም:: የተኛበትን ሥፍራ ኑና እዩ:: ፈጥናችሁም ሒዱና ከሙታን ተነሣ: እነሆም ወደ ገሊላ ይቀድማቹሃል:: በዚያም ታዩታላችሁ ብላችሁ ለደቀ መዛሙርቱ ንገሯቸው' . . . እነሆም ኢየሱስ አገኛቸውና ደስ ይበላችሁ አላቸው:: እነርሱም ቀርበው እግሩን ይዘው ሰገዱለት:: +"+ (ማቴ. 28:5-10)

=>ኢትዮዽያዊው ጻድቅ አቡነ መልከ ጼዴቅን ብዙ ሰው ሽዋ (ሚዳ) ውስጥ በሚገኘው አስደናቂ ገዳማቸው ያውቃቸዋል:: ገዳሙ በእድሜ ጠገብ ዛፎች ያጌጠ ከመሆኑ ባሻገር በጻድቁ ቃል ኪዳን ምክንያት በቦታው የሚቀበር ሁሉ አካሉ አይፈርስም:: የጻድቁስ ዜና ሕይወታቸው እንደምን ነው ቢሉ:-

+አቡነ መልከ ጼዴቅ በሸዋ ነገሥታት ዘመን የነበሩ: የንጉሱ ዓምደ ጽዮን የቅርብ ዘመድ ነበሩ:: የጻድቁ ወላጆች ፍሬ ጽዮንና ዐመተ ማርያም ይባላሉ:: አቡነ መልከ ጼዴቅ ገና በሕጻንነታቸው ሥርዓተ መንግስትን አጥንተዋል::

+በሁዋላ ከመምሕር ዘንድ ገብተው ብሉይ ከሐዲስ ተምረው ሲያጠናቅቁ ይሕንን ዓለም ናቁና ከቤተ መንግስቱ አካባቢ ጠፍተው ወደ አቡነ አሮን መንክራዊ ዘንድ ሔደው መንኩሰዋል::

+ነገሩ በቤተ መንግስት አካባቢ ሲሰማ ወላጆች አለቀሱ:: አቡነ አሮንም ተከሰው ነበር:: ነገሩ ግን ከእግዚአብሔር ነበርና አቡነ መልከ ጼዴቅን መልዐክ እየመራ አምጥቶ አሁን ገዳማቸው ያለበት ሸዋ (ሚዳ) አደረሳቸው::

+በዚያ ትንሽ በዓት ሰርተው ለዘመናት ተጋድለዋል:: ዋሻዋም ደብረ መድኃኒት ትባላለች:: ጻድቁ ከጾምና ጸሎታቸው በተረፈ ዓርብ ዓርብ የጌታችን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስን ሕማማት በማሰብ ጀርባቸውን 300 ጊዜ ይገርፉ: ደቀ መዛሙርቱንም ግረፉኝ ይሉ ነበር:: አንድ ጊዜም እጃቸውንና እግራቸውን በትልልቅ ችንካሮች ቸንክረውት ደማቸው ሲፈስ ተገኝቷል::

+በመጨረሻ አቡነ መልከ ጼዴቅ ጌታን ኢትዮዽያውያንን ማርልኝ አሉት:: ጌታችንም መለሰ:- "በስምህ ያመኑትን: በቃል ኪዳንህ የተማጸኑትን: ገዳምሕን የተሳለሙትን እምርልሃለሁ::"

+ጻድቁም ብዙ ተአምራትን ሰርተው በዚሕች ቀን አርፈዋል:: አቡነ አምሃ ኢየሱስም በክብር ገንዘው በበዓታቸው ውስጥ ቀብሯቸዋል::

=>አምላካችን እግዚአብሔር ከጻድቁ ዋጋና በረከት አይለየን::

=>ግንቦት 4 ቀን የሚከበሩ ዓመታዊ የቅዱሳን በዓላት=
1.አቡነ መልከ ጼዴቅ ካህን (ኢትዮዽያዊ ጻድቅ)

✞✞✞On this day we commemorate the departure of Abune Melchizedek the Righteous✞✞✞

✞✞✞In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, one God. Amen!✞✞✞

✞✞✞Abune Melchizedek✞✞✞
=>The Ethiopian Saint Abune Melchizedek is known by many for his wondrous monastery which is found in Shewa (Mida). In addition to the monastery being endowed with age old trees, anyone that is buried there, his/her body does not decay (will not corrupt) and that is because of the covenant the Saint has [which he received from God]. If asked the life accounts of the Saint, it was as follows.

✞Abune Melchizedek lived during the reigns of the Shewa Kings, and was a close relative of Emperor Amda Seyon. The Saint’s parents were called Fre Seyon, and Amete Maryam. Abune Melchizedek studied administration while he was still a kid.

✞And later on, after he studied the Old and New Testaments from a teacher, he shunned this world, escaped from the palace, went to Abune Aron Thaumaturgus and became a monk.

✞And when the news was heard around the citadel, his parents wept. And Abune Aron was accused. However, as it was [a call] from God, an angel led Abune Melchizedek to where his monastery is now located, Shewa (Mida).

✞There, he built a small cell and fought the spiritual battle for many years. And the cave, his cell, was named Debre Medhanit (A Place of Salvation). The Saint, in addition to his prayer and fasting, used to whip himself 300 times every Friday remembering the passion of our Lord Jesus Christ. And he used to ask his disciples to lash him as well. At one time, because he had nailed his hands and legs, he was found with his blood dripping.

✞And in the end, Abune Melchizedek asked the Lord to forgive Ethiopians. And the Lord answered, “I will forgive those who believe in your name, those who beseech through the covenant I gave you and those who come to your monastery.”

✞And on this day, the Saint, after making many miracles, passed away. And Abune Amha Iyesus shrouded him honorably and buried him in his cell.

✞✞✞May our God not detach us from the Saint’s reward, and blessing.

✝✝✝ እንኩዋን ለዳግሚያ ትንሳኤ በሰላም አደረሳችሁ ✝✝✝

=>ለስም አጠራሩ ጌትነት ይድረሰውና መድኃኒታችን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ከቅድስት ትንሳኤው በሁዋላ ለደቀ መዛሙርቱ በጉባኤ 3 ጊዜ ተገልጦላቸዋል:-

1.በዕለተ ትንሳኤ ምሽት በፍርሃት ሳሉ
2.ያላመነ ቶማስን ለማሳመን በተነሳ በ8ኛው ቀን (ማለትም ዛሬ)
3.ከተነሳ ከ23 ቀናት በሁዋላ በጥብርያዶስ ባሕር ዳርቻ ላይ ነው::

+ጌታ አርባውን ቀን ለአንዱም: ለሁለቱም በግል ይገለጥላቸው ነበር:: እመቤታችንን ግን ፈጽሞ አይለያትም ነበር::

+ጌታችን ከተነሳ በሁዋላ ለሳምንት ተለይቷቸው ስለ ነበር በቤተ ክርስቲያን ውዳሴ ማርያም እንጂ መልክዐ ኢየሱስ በማሕበር አይደገምም::

+በዚሕች ዕለት ደቀ መዛሙርቱ በጽርሐ ጽዮን ሳሉ ጌታችን "ሰላም ለእናንተ ይሁን" ብሏቸዋል:: ቶማስንም "ና ዳስሰኝ" ብሎታል:: ሐዋርያው እጁን ከተወጋ ጐኑ ላይ ቢያሳርፍ በመቃጠሉ "ጌታየ አምላኬም" ሲል ጮሆ ምስጢረ ተዋሕዶውን መስክሯል::

+ጌታም ቶማስን "እስመ ርኢከኒሁ አመንከኒ" (ማለትም ስላየኸኝ አመንከኝ)! "ብጹዐንሰ እለ እንዘ ኢይሬእዩኒ የአምኑኒ" (ሳያዩ የሚያምኑ ግን ብጹዐን (ማለትም ንዑዳን ክቡራን) ናቸው ብሎታል:: (ዮሐ. 20:24)

=>ከጌታችን ከትንሳኤው: ከቅዱሱም ሐዋርያ በረከት አይለየን::

=>+"+ ደጆች ተዘግተው ሳሉ ኢየሱስ መጣ:: በመካከላቸውም ቆሞ 'ሰላም ለእናንተ ይሁን' አላቸው:: ከዚያም በሁዋላ ቶማስን 'ጣትህን ወደዚህ አምጣና እጆቼን እይ:: እጅህንም አምጣና በጐኔ አግባው:: ያመንህ እንጂ ያላመንህ አትሁን' አለው:: ቶማስም 'ጌታዬ አምላኬም' ብሎ መለሰለት:: ኢየሱስም 'ስላየኸኝ አምነሃል:: ሳያዩ የሚያምኑ ብጹዓን ናቸው' አለው:: +"+ (ዮሐ. 20:26-29)

=>Glory be to the invocation of His name, the Holy Savior Jesus Christ, after His Holy Resurrection appeared to the disciples in a group setting trice.

1. During the night of the Day of Resurrection while they were frightened
2. To make doubting Thomas believe on the 8th day after His Resurrection (which is today)
3.  And at the shore of the sea of Tiberias 23 days after His Resurrection.

✝️The Lord used to appear only to one or to two of His disciples during the forty days [before His ascent]. Nevertheless, He never left our Lady.

✝️Because our Lord was not with the disciples for a week after He rose, in the Church the doxology dedicated to Jesus is not recited in a congregation but the Theotokion is prayed.

✝️On this day, while the disciples were at the Upper Room/Tsereha Tsion, our Lord said, “Peace be unto you”. He also said to Thomas “Come and touch Me”. And when the Apostle placed his hand on the Lord’s pierced side, because he was burned, Thomas cried out, “My Lord and my God” and attested the mystery of Tewahedo (the mystery of the Hypostatic Union).

✝️And the Lord said to Thomas “be not faithless, but believing!”, “blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” (John 20:24-29)

=>May our Lord not separate us from the blessings of His Resurrection and the Holy Apostle.
