A Support Level Is Not Automatically a Buy
Price reaching support doesn't mean you should immediately buy.
A support zone simply tells you:
π This is an area worth paying attention to.
What happens inside that area matters more than the level itself.
π Look for confirmation:
β’ Rejection from the zone
β’ π Change in short-term structure
β’ β οΈ Failed breakdown
β’ β‘ Strong reaction from buyers
Think of it this way:
Support β Context
Price Action β Information
A level tells you where to pay attention.
Price action helps you understand what may happen next.
π Don't trade the level. Read the reaction.

Gold Series Introduction
π₯ Gold Traders β Weβre Starting a Regular XAUUSD Series
Gold is going to be one of the main markets we follow here at Zarix.
In our regular XAUUSD updates, weβll focus on things that actually matter when reading the chart:
β’ Current market bias
β’ Key technical areas
β’ Bullish and bearish scenarios
β’ What would invalidate the setup
The goal isnβt to predict every move or give guaranteed calls.
Itβs to build clear scenarios, define the conditions, and adjust when the market structure changes.

π Breakout or Fakeout?
One candle above resistance isn't always enough to confirm a breakout.
A useful breakout usually needs context.
Ask:
πΉ Did price close beyond the level?
πΉ Was there a strong rejection back inside?
πΉ Did structure actually change?
πΉ Is price accepting above the level or just testing it?
The goal isn't to predict every fakeout.
The goal is to avoid treating every small break as confirmation.

CHART BREAKDOWN
There Isn't Always a Correct βBuy or Sellβ Answer
About our previous chart question...
The important part wasn't simply choosing Buy or Sell.
It was understanding this:
Location alone isn't confirmation.
At resistance, more than one scenario can still be valid.
π΄ Rejection β Bearish scenario
or
π’ Breakout + Acceptance β Continuation scenario
Good analysis isn't always about making an immediate prediction.
Sometimes the best decision is to wait for the market to reveal which scenario is developing.
π Build scenarios first. Make decisions second.

π HIGHER TIMEFRAME FIRST
Before analyzing a 5-minute or 15-minute chart...
Zoom out.
A lower-timeframe setup can look perfect while sitting directly against a major Daily or Weekly level.
A simple workflow:
Weekly β Daily β 4H β Execution Timeframe
You don't need ten different timeframes.
You need enough context to understand:
π Where price is
π― Which levels matter
π Where your setup fits into the larger structure
Context before execution.

π¬π§ GBPUSD MARKET OUTLOOK
π Higher-Timeframe Bias
Bullish.
On the weekly chart, GBPUSD is still pushing higher and the current structure suggests continuation may remain possible while price holds its recent strength.
π― Key Area
1.35579
Above that, the next major resistance zone sits around 1.36634 β 1.36945.
π’ Bullish Scenario
If price continues higher and clears 1.35579, the path may open toward the 1.36634 β 1.36945 resistance area.
β οΈ Invalidation / Change of View
A clear failure to continue above 1.35579 would weaken the immediate bullish outlook and shift the view to a more cautious stance.
π What We're Watching
Whether price can break and continue above 1.35579, or whether that area turns into another rejection point before the market reaches 1.36634 β 1.36945.
We'll update the outlook if market structure changes.

β³ WHY WAITING CAN BE A TRADING DECISION
Not every market condition deserves a trade.
Sometimes price is:
β’ βοΈ Between major levels
β’ π« Moving without clear structure
β’ π Too extended
β’ β³ Waiting for confirmation
In those situations:
No trade is still a decision.
You don't get paid for the number of trades you take.

β Will it go up or down?
Ask instead:

That gives you something much more useful:
A plan for different outcomes.

Gold is still trading within a bullish recovery, but this week one level matters more than anything else:
π― 4,496
A weekly close above 4,496 would strengthen the case that the correction is over and that gold may be ready to continue toward the previous highs.

4,363β4,350

π₯ WHY I DONβT TRUST ICT
The real problem? ICT often looks clearer after the move than before it.
β οΈ Rules keep changing
New models can make older concepts harder to apply consistently.
π§ βSmart moneyβ can become a story
Liquidity matters. But claims about *why* βthe algorithmβ moved price are hard to verify.
π Hindsight makes setups look perfect
After the move, the FVG, sweep, OB and MSS seem obvious. Live, several zones may look valid.
π― Too much subjectivity
Two ICT traders can mark the same chart differentlyβand both explain it afterward.
π Social media distorts expectations
Perfect entries get posted. Failed setups and drawdowns rarely do.
π° Complexity isnβt proof of edge
More terminology and courses donβt prove a repeatable advantage.
If a model can explain every outcome afterward, how do you know when it was wrong?

π₯ THE BIG PROBLEM WITH SMC
SMC looks incredibly precise after price has already moved.
Thatβs exactly the problem.
π§ βSmart Moneyβ isnβt visible on your chart.
An Order Block may describe where price reactedβbut it doesnβt prove banks placed orders there.
π― The rules are often subjective.
Give the same chart to three SMC traders and you may get three different OBs, liquidity zones and BOS/CHoCH readings.
π Hindsight does the heavy lifting.
After the move, the βperfectβ FVG and liquidity sweep look obvious. Live? Several zones may look equally valid.
π A framework is not an edge.
Knowing the vocabulary doesnβt prove positive expectancy. The rules still need to be defined, tested and survive costs and unseen data.
Hereβs the uncomfortable question:
If βsmart moneyβ really left such obvious footprintsβ¦ why are they easiest to see after the trade is over?
Send this to an SMC trader and ask them for the answer. π
