'Youth For Climate Action' with XRYouth Solidarity 3-5pmπ
Young people have always been central in changing the world, shaking up the established order and driving change in communities. We have a lot of power if we recognise it and join together. In this short film screening/workshop we will explore the work done by young activists outside the dominant western culture through short films and creating space for new conversations around YOUTH CLIMATE ACTION. We are all part of something bigger which we might not be recognising!

Decolonsing degrowth : Voices from the majority world 6-8pm π
Degrowth is a multifaceted concept that escapes single definitions. One of them defines it as a movement as well as a call for radical social, political and economic transformation, associated with a democratically-led and equitable reduction of resource, material and energy throughput, starting from the overdeveloped West, aimed at improving well-being, ecological sustainability and global justice. A degrowth economy would be decolonised, democratised, based on care and the commons. Join XRY and @Degrowthtalks for the second of the #NoBackToNormal #degrowthtalks series with Mladen Domazet, Miriam Lang and Brototi Roy!

Visioning with XRY UK Regenerative Cultures 4-6pmπ
Visioning is the blending of creativity and activism! βTo truly hope, we must be able to articulate clearly and compellingly what it is weβre hoping for.β (Farhad Ebrahimi) βWhat Extinction Rebellion has brought is a revolution of action. But right now what we also need to concurrently be happening is a revolution of the imagination. We need artists to start dreaming and extending the boundaries of what is and what is not possible.β (Sam Knights, XR Rebel) In Visioning Club, we will come together and imagine the better world we want to live in, because only by knowing what we want can we truly strive towards it. Alongside our guided group discussions, participants are invited to draw during the discussion.

The Role of the Youth Voice 6-8pm π’
In the Role of Youth Voice workshop we will look at how important the youth voice and experience is to bring about the change that is needed in the world today. Together in groups we will discuss our own experience and how it relates to what is needed in XR and wider youth movement. Itβs time that we realise the power and fire of youth, and know that just by being who we are, we are enough.

WeTheFuture FINAL WEEK (All times in BST)
Tuesday 23rd June
Development, Imperialism and the Resistance of Indigenous Peoples. 5-7PM πΏ
Traditional local communities offer alternative models and worldviews that can help us to live in balance with ecosystems. Across the globe, frontline communities resist against the destruction of their ecosystems and thus face extraordinary violence from corporations and governments. XRY Solidarity will explore the many alternatives to our culture's underlying economic assumptions.

Wednesday
NVDA 3-5pmπ³
In this non-violent direct action training, you will find out how to take part in Extinction Rebellion Youth actions. This training will cover the practice of non-violent techniques: showing you how to de-escalate tense situations, how to interact with the police, and much more. Please note that this is not a legal training, but we are hoping to run one soon.

XRY UK Regenerative Cultures will be running an Introduction to Regenerative Cultures series: Why do we need regenerative cultures? We will be exploring the necessity of radical care in undermining and halting the systems that are currently perpetuating the climate and ecological crises (and many other crises), and how essential it is to step into new ways of relating to each other, ourselves and to the world in order to achieve meaningful and constructive systemic change!

Decolonizing conservation: WTF WWF!! 5-7pmπ¦
In XRY Solidarity we have been shocked to learn what our indigenous partners have told us about the realities of conservation projects on the ground, especially in East and Central Africa. There is a much darker side to conservation than any of us had previously imagined: it originates from its history, from its relationship with industry and from the wrong assumptions about nature that many conservationists hold. Because of these issues, conservation across the world is even failing to conserve. But there is a solution to this tragedy, and we can be part of it.
