Man Xiaomi is weird
There's a check on their system (PackageManagerServiceImpl at miui-services.jar) that:
You said you want to detach from Google but you add a check to disable Android's Internal Library Services
I do have some thinking about the bypass, which is:
1. Hardcode the IS_INTERNATIONAL_BUILD check to const 0x1 to bypass the entire thing
2. Remove ext shared and print service package entry
3. Remove the check if GmsCore is exist

IF /product/priv-app/GmsCore EXIST:
THEN pm disable android.ext.shared && pm disable com.android.printservice.recommendation

Xiaomi 19 series to be renamed Xiaomi 20 (Pro/Pro Max) in an effort to keep with the times (copying matching Apple's changes)
This change lines up with Apple plans to call the iPhone lineup in 2027 as the iPhone 20 series to celebrate the 20th anniversary of iPhone, according to Omdia.

RIP Poco ๐
Now Poco will be sold under Xiaomi India which is already a rebrand of Redmi and is also sold under Xiaomi India. So Xiaomi India will now sell the same smartphone with just different logos -- Poco and Redmi.
Poco was launched as an independent company in India whose sole purpose was to rebrand Redmi. Now Xiaomi has merged that so-called independent company "on papers" to itself after their strategy failed successfully.

Xiaomi presents DLSS 8.4! (Early Access)
Now before we explain this feature, you must be asking, how does a static menu in the background even report 2 fps when you don't move anything?
That's precisely our goal. We are reporting quantum frames. Frames you haven't seen yet. Frames rendered in an alternate world.
This isn't just AI, it's QI (Quantum intelligence)
And if that wasn't enough, if your game ever runs at 10fps and you need to flex your phone running it at 120, just open game turbo and start scrolling the menu, reporting FPS the game never rendered.
Even the graph rendering counts for 2 extra frames!
With this tech, 15fps menus report 120, especially on phones with a smooth graph render!

Here's why Xiaomi 15 Ultra still has not received the September 2025 update
It's almost november and the latest global flagship, Xiaomi 15 Ultra still hasn't received the September 2025 update. A tipster talked to Xiaomi Vietnam representative and the reason turned out to be
Meanwhile other brands also having monstrous camera hardware like Oppo, Vivo etc released the update without any issues.
Last year only, Xiaomi International Vice President Alvin T claimed that "We should be able to do monthly updates from 2025" and this is Xiaomi's result just after 6 months of their promise. This means Xiaomi is back to quarterly updates like usual ๐ฅณ

Here's how Xiaomi users keep themselves happy after using a Xiaomi!
Xiaomi starves their users so much that apparently basic updates such as Security patches are enough to make them happy.
Xiaomi users even flex monthly security updates on twitter lmfao because they don't really have anything else to flex as their smartphones suffer from heating, high battery drain, NO new features, iOS copied hyperOS XD

There are Xiaomi users and then there are those who use HyperOS on Poco smartphones, expecting Xiaomi to make their user experience any good
As expected, Xiaomi does not care to update even the Launcher on Poco smartphones.

Xiaomi made a fuck up where it seemed impossible โ the Linux development environment.
A fellow tech enthusiast, Rachel Podya (@deadrachel), who was the first to unlock the Xiaomi 15T bootloader and fully experience HyperOS 3.0 (EEA version), reported an issue in her personal Telegram channel, stating, that after she enabled the new Linux environment feature in Developer options, installed it via the Terminal app, and used a little bit, it suddenly broke. She tried running the built-in recovery process, and disabling and re-enabling the option (which wipes the environment), but that didn't help. The log that the app produced didn't provide any useful information either.
Also, two months ago, Android Authority made a post, stating, that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 and Xiaomi 15T series were the first devices to support the environment because of the latest MediaTek chips, and they're currently the best.
So, the device supports this feature, but, as usual for this company, it works terribly. Period.

Xiaomi breaks another AOSP feature!
In other news, a fork was found in the kitchen.
Continuing the tradition of Android features never working on AOSP, this time it's the live alerts. Like monet support, the setting is just missing entirely and is nowhere to be seen. Any apps leveraging this feature will not be able to use the dynamic island clone (it's most useful use case here is now gone) and the user has to use other workarounds to cope.
Essentially, you get Android 15 OPPO/Vivo Dynamic Island, just on Android 16, putting Xiaomi an year behind the competition, when Android already put out a standardized API for live activities. However, if the EU didn't standardize Type C, the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max would ship with a lightning port instead. So, this falls well within expectations.
