Today, the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska adopted the Law on the Coat of Arms by the votes of the majority of deputies, which introduces the coat of arms of Nemanji with a double-headed eagle for the coat of arms of the Republic of Srpska, and for the national anthem, the anthem of God of Justice, which is also used by Serbia.

The law was adopted with 56 votes, three votes against and no abstentions.

In 2006, the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina declared the coat of arms of the Republika Srpska unconstitutional, and after that, in 2007, the NSRS adopted an emblem with the letters RS instead of the coat of arms. The anthem of Srpska was also declared unconstitutional.

The reason for declaring it unconstitutional was that the symbols of the other constituent nations were not represented on the coat of arms and in the anthem.
