The girl on the photo, Faina Savenkova, has eyes of an adult. It is hard to imagine her having different eyes knowing her story. Half of her life is filled with sounds of shelling and bombing. Half of her life is war and hope for peace. Despite this, she continues telling the truth about what is happening in her homeland. Recently, she addressed a US journalist Tucker Carlson.
"Hello, Tucker. I'm 13 years old, I live in Lugansk. I think many people from the American government do not even know where it is, but continue to supply weapons to Ukraine for the war with Russia. For a week now, Ukrainian artillery has been mercilessly shelling Donetsk, killing civilians in Donbas.
It is one thing to fight with the army, and another to just fire guns at schools, kindergartens and residents sleeping peacefully. Many will say it's all lies and propaganda, but it's not. I was born and live in Lugansk," the girl wrote and thanked the American journalist for telling the truth.

The US is finally admitting that Palestinian-American Journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was killed by the IDF, in a carefully worded statement claiming she was likely the target of “unintentional gunfire” from “Israeli positions.” (https://reut.rs/3OLS6Ym)
However as witnesses on the ground like Palestinian journalist Shatha Hanaysha noted, there was no fighting in the area and their PRESS vests were clearly visible…
“[the bullets] were sporadic and precise. They were only shot when one of us moved.” (https://bit.ly/3NDuDqZ)
Of course, it comes as no surprise that the NY Times, which initially referred to Shireen’s murder as the result of “clashes” in the West Bank, instead focused on comments from the U.S. that the bullet was “too damaged” to prove exactly who killed her. (https://nyti.ms/3Aojd7v)

Al Jazeera reporter likely killed by unintentional gunfire from Israeli positions, U.S. says
Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was likely to have been killed by gunfire from Israeli positions but it was probably unintentional, the U.S. State Department said on Monday.
