For some of you, the program is getting to and end, so we would like to remind you to make sure you complete your work no later that LAST day on your DS-2019 form and your last day in the USA should not exceed your last day on Grace period (30 days after your ds-2019 expiration date). Most of you will be finishing your work in the Next 4 weeks. Before you leave, make sure to do the following:
- Leave contact information (your email address, your home MAIL address with zip code to your employer). This will allow them to send W2 form at the beginning of next year for Taxation purposes
- Bank account. Its best if you DO NOT close your US bank account. US bank account is a convinient way to collect your taxes next year
- If you established good relationship with your employer, collect a reference letter and business card. You might need it in the future.
- Travel for at least 1 week before departure back to your home country!
- Say proper good bye to your employer and collegues: cook Somsas, plov or bring gifts. They will remember you for good.
