📌Difference between College and University:

Colleges and universities primarily differ in program offerings and degree types. "University" refers to larger institutions offering both undergraduate and graduate programs, the word university is derived from the Latin universitas magistrorum et scholarium, which roughly means "community of teachers and scholars". And "College" refers to community colleges, technical schools, and liberal arts colleges. The word "college" is from the Latin verb lego, legere, legi, lectum, "to collect, gather together, pick", plus the preposition cum, "with", thus meaning "selected together".
...Since universities are generally larger than colleges, they offer more variety in their degree programs and focus heavily on producing research. At a university, for example, you can study for a master's degree or a PhD, whereas not every college will have these graduate degree programs.

📌Many of you are asking about how to find volunteer works. I exactly know the reason)
For : Good extracurricular activities..
Now, I'll share five useful websites that can help you to find volunteer works.

The Point App provides a diverse range of volunteer opportunities, catering to different interests, skills, and causes. Whether you are passionate about environmental conservation, education, homelessness, or healthcare, you can find relevant opportunities that align with your interests and values. They partner with reputable nonprofit organizations and social impact initiatives, ensuring that volunteers can trust the legitimacy and quality of the opportunities listed on the platform.

DoSomething.org focuses on engaging and mobilizing young people to take action and make a difference. It offers a diverse selection of volunteer campaigns spanning multiple social issues, such as environmental sustainability, social justice, mental health, and education. Their campaigns often utilize creative and innovative approaches to address these issues, making volunteering more exciting and appealing to young volunteers.

VolunteerMatch is one of the largest databases for connecting nonprofits with volunteers. Since its inception, VolunteerMatch has connected 15.2 million volunteers to organizations globally. VolunteerMatch offers a simple interface for either posting volunteer roles or searching for them. Nonprofits, schools and non-U.S. NGOs are all welcome to submit a call for volunteers, as well as government organizations and other tax-exempt organizations.

JustServe helps people find volunteer opportunities nearby. Volunteers can search by projects or organizations to find something more specific. Another element of JustServe is that potential volunteers and organizations can browse through past success stories. These show a description of an event, a photo of the volunteers and the date the event took place.

Catchafire.org matches people’s professional skills to nonprofits in need. Skills like accounting, branding, engineering, web design, sales, marketing, writing and social media — among others — are all in demand. The majority of opportunities on Catchafire are remote, making it easier for busy professionals to donate their time whenever it’s available.

Also there is a Telegram channel I've been following for 3 months and admins work really hard to give useful information about volunteer works: @Social_Market4

📌Three ways to get a 100% bachelor's degree grant 🗽

#useful
#application_process

1⃣ Need-based financial aid - financing on need; is calculated based on your family's annual income, assets you have, and your overall financial situation.

To apply for this type of funding, you need to fill out a special application called CSS Profile.

The cost of sending to 1 university: $16 + a single fee of $9.

2⃣Merit-based financial aid - funding for "merits"; is allocated based on the components of your application (academic performance, extracurricular activities, essays).

You can check the application criteria on your university website: sometimes a separate application is required, sometimes not.

3⃣ Combination of need-based + merit-based (bachelor) or assistantship/fellowship (master's degree)

🫶🏻Here, the requirements will vary, so feel free to go to the financial aid & scholarships tab of your university or write to the admissions office!

You are already a student of local university in your hometown, but you want to take some time off and travel around the world while studying...
This post is meant for you then!

-Fully-funded grants are a great opportunity for students and professionals to pursue educational or cultural experiences without worrying about financing. These grants usually cover the cost of tuition, travel, and living expenses, allowing recipients to focus on their studies or research. Some examples of fully-funded grants include the UGRAD, JACAFA, and SUSI programs.

UGRAD is a program sponsored by the US Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. It provides undergraduate students from different countries with the chance to study in the United States for a year, with all expenses paid. The JACAFA program, on the other hand, lets young scientists and engineers from Asian countries participate in research projects at Japanese universities or research institutions for up to two months. The SUSI program offers foreign scholars and professionals the opportunity to participate in six-week intensive academic programs at US universities, with all expenses covered.

Applying for fully-funded grants is highly competitive, and applicants must demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to cultural exchange. However, the benefits of receiving a fully-funded grant are substantial, including gaining valuable academic and professional experience, developing new skills, and building international networks.

If you're interested in applying for a fully-funded grant, start preparing early. Research the programs available and carefully review the eligibility criteria and application requirements. Ensure you gather all necessary documentation, including transcripts, letters of recommendation, and a well-crafted personal statement.

In conclusion, fully-funded grants like UGRAD, JACAFA, and SUSI provide excellent opportunities for students and professionals to pursue academic and cultural experiences without financial burden. While competition for these grants is intense, the benefits of receiving one are significant and can have a profound impact on your academic and professional development.
