~ In October 2018, India signed a $5 billion deal with Russia to buy five units of the S-400 air defence missile systems
~S400 missile defence system is considered one of the deadliest surface-to-air missiles in the world
~The missile defence system is said to be one of the world's most advanced long-range air defence systems
~It has three components -- Missile launchers, a powerful radar and a command centre
~It can hit aircraft, cruise missiles and even fast-moving intermediate-range ballistic missiles
~ S400 is considered a major threat by NATO members because of its sheer long-range capabilities . The missile system can engage almost all types of modern warplanes.

✅9 may 2025 celebrated as the 164th birth anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, a cultural icon, philosopher, poet, and visionary whose influence crosses generations.
✅Rabindranath Tagore (1861–1941 C.E.) was born into an aristocratic Bengali family in Jorasanko Thakur Bari, Kolkata, to Debendranath Tagore and Sarada Devi.
✅He was a polymath who reshaped Bengali literature, music, and art and remains the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913 for his profound collection of poems, Gitanjali
✅He was also referred to as ‘Gurudev’, ‘Kabiguru’, and ‘Biswakabi’.
✅He had spoken at the World Parliament for Religions in the years 1929 and 1937.
✅His notable works include Gitanjali, Ghare-Baire, Gora, Manasi, Balaka, Sonar Tori, He is also remembered for his song ‘Ekla Chalo Re’.
✅He published his first poems aged 16 under the pen-name ‘Bhanusimha’.
