Students- who are often seen as the future leaders of Uzbekistan - today spend 8 hours on average a day scrolling social media, particularly insta reels.
Social media was originally designed to divide attention and distract people from real-life activities. Most say they often watch videos of people they follow and see as a role model. They watch and get dopamine from the achievement of their models they follow and watch daily. But when you see their own lives, they are merely spectators-passively enjoying the accomplishments of others rather than trying for their own.
At the end of the day, a reader will be an employer for hundreds of thousands of "watchers".
I know I can't influence people around me for sure, but I wanted to share my personal thoughts. Btw, Happy Ramadan!
