How to fix Steam?

At the moment, Valve is lying drunk in a ditch, so users have found several solutions:
1. Install Steam without uninstalling (download the installer and install it in the same folder; your data will be preserved)
2. Unplug USB input devices (especially joysticks)
3. In my case, changing the graphics card helped
4. Install Steam, repeat when restarting

Today, we are experiencing connection issues with the Whiskey Software server. This is due to blocking within the country where the host machine is located. Unfortunately, these blockings are volatile and already subject to heuristic analysis, which affects even legitimate traffic.

Нам не удалось восстановить полноценный доступ к софту из этого региона и скорее всего это будет невозможно. Далее объясню почему.

С момента блокировки YouTube мы создавали резервный план действий, который предполагал прокси узлы доступа из России. Они даже до сих пор работают. Но главной проблемой стали детекты поведения соединений — ТСПУ не обрывает соединение, но замораживает передачу трафика, если ему что-то не нравится. Дорогие роутеры здесь проигрывают, так как передают целостные данные и ТСПУ может анализировать их лучше, то же касается всех компонентов вашей локальной сети, отсюда и возникают эфирные припадки с ethernet портами и 2-5Hz WiFi. Вы не сошли с ума, всё хорошо.

Закономерности и правил в детектах нет, условия меняются почти каждый день, то и дело не работают сервисы в самой России, либо работают со сбоями.

Рекомендация из нашего опыта: SOCKS5 прокси. Для владельцев серверов подойдёт утилита 3proxy, бесплатной альтернативой может стать браузер Tor. VLESS и ShadowSocks оказались менее надёжными в условиях детекта всего подряд, а SOCKS5 простой и популярный протокол, активно использующийся в госсекторе, вряд ли его станут блокировать.

Мы добавим поддержку SOCKS5, чтобы вы могли воспользоваться собственными узлами доступа. Так же sirius, являющийся главным разработчиком публичной версии софта, пообещал не забрасывать эту версию и постараться сделать ожидание менее болезненным.

Что будет, если SOCKS5 попадёт под удар, либо опустится занавес над внешним интернетом? Вряд ли вы будете думать о CS2 и фарме, но об этом в другом посте...

I'm trying to get RCS up and running. Unfortunately, I once relied on synchronization with game data, and now that's working against the software.

* A "fast respawn" option leaked into one of the releases. It significantly speeds up farming, but is not recommended for security reasons. We'll soon add it for those who want it, either as a checkbox or in the API.

* The channel's PM are still down due to bots. We're waiting for support to help us get rid of the spam messages. Last time, it took almost a month. Unfortunately, there are no other options...
