Nobody can deny that Uzbekistan is changing in every significant way, including the economy. If economic transition is something that keeps you up at night, come to a guest lecture by professor Lajos Bokros. Bokros has previously served as Minister of Finance, member of European Parliament, worked in the World Bank as director of the Finance and Private Sector project, and worked on enterprise restructuring in Russia, Georgia, and Romania.

Another event with experts at Webster University! Students are invited to attend a round table on Central Asian studies, organized by GCRF COMPASS. Academics are gathering in Tashkent for a conference at University of World Economy and Diplomacy on November 7 and 8. However, they will also be visiting #websteruzbekistan on November 6th. ⁣
All students are welcome to come to the round table, which will start around 14:20 in room 410 in the Navoi Street campus.⁣

🔹 What will be discussed? Transformations in the political, economic, and social landscapes of Central Asia, regional security, regional cooperation, and Uzbekistan's role in them.⁣

🔹 Who are the speakers? They are esteemed scholars who study Central Asia, coming from some of the world's famous and respected universities. This includes members of COMPASS, based in University of Kent (UK).⁣

​​Once again, Webster University administation staff from St. Louis are coming to Tashkent! Webster Uzbekistan is hosting John Buck, Interim Associate Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students, and Hannah Verity, Director of Global Program Development.

🙋🏻‍♀️ All students and faculty are invited to meet with them in two separate sessions on November 21 and 22.

🔹 November 21, 4-6pm: With John Buck, come to discuss student involvement in programs and student clubs and organizations.
🔹 November 22, 4-6pm: With Hannah Verity, you can learn more about the Study Abroad and Faculty Exchange programs, and ask questions related to them.

💬 This is a great chance to be heard by university management. Hope to see and hear you there!

🔜 This Saturday, the Webster University Dean of Students, John Buck, will work with you to come up with the general idea and documents necessary to create an association or body which will be responsible for representing you and your interests.
Want to start a club? This is a good time to get involved and be one of the students who decide how clubs will be formed in the future.

It's a meeting for Webster students to work on creating their future student government. You, with the Dean of Students, John Buck, will begin the process of establishing student government at Webster Tashkent, and you will be guided in what needs to be done to create your student clubs.

📝 This means - come ready to work hard and fast! These will be four very intense hours.

The Study Abroad program is one of Webster University's greatest points of pride. It allows students to expand their horizons, become global citizens, and step into the shoes of other people.

That's why Webster University has created the Vision Fund Study Abroad in St. Louis Scholarship! Any undergraduate or graduate student in Webster 🇺🇿 Uzbekistan and 🇬🇭 Ghana student can apply for an award to go to Webster in St. Louis 🛫 for a term or longer.

🔹 How to qualify? 🔹
💯 Students must be in good social, financial and academic standing with the university. Preference will be given to students with a 2.5 GPA or higher
📅 Applicants must apply online by the appropriate deadline to be considered.
📥 Applicants must submit a scholarship essay and one recommendation.

The application deadline for Fall Study Abroad is March 31.
