π¦ Have you heard of Thanksgiving Day? π¦
It's an American holiday celebrated annually on the fourth Thursday of November.
π¨π¦ Interesting fact: Canadians also celebrate it, but in October.
πΊπΈ This year, American Thanksgiving is on November 28th. For them, it is usually a family celebration during which people give thanks for what they have.
π The "history" of the holiday has changed, but today it is often associated with a harvest celebration organized by the Pilgrims (European settlers) and members of the Wampanoag tribe of Native Americans.
βDo we have a day off that day? No, Webster in Tashkent will have classes as usual on November 28.
βοΈ However, we are preparing something for our students to have a chance to get the modern spirit of Thanksgiving, and to engage you with the world outside of university. We will give you this information soon.

Happy Monday, everyone! βοΈ
While we believe all Gorloks demonstrate their attitude and hard work in attending Webster, there are some who we wish to highlight. And we are not the only ones who appreciate that there are those who must put in twice the effort to get an education. One of them is Khayrulla Rukhiddinov, an MA TESL student.
Khayrulla is blind, and in a world made for seeing folks, he's had to get creative to realize his dreams. Last month, Repost published a video about him and his story. Watch on Youtube (Russian text, Uzbek voice).
