On August 25, I shared a bearish Elliott Wave outlook on Gold, highlighting a potential move from the 4,696 area toward 4,460. At the time, some dismissed the idea as unrealistic.
Yesterday, the market reached that exact projected zone.

GOLD H4 Elliot Wave Analysis 31-08-2026
Scenario #01 Bearish Continuation
Gold remains bearish on the H4 time frame while price holds below the key invalidation level at 4697.55.
The Elliott Wave structure suggests Wave b / (C) / 5 completed at 4697.55, with a new impulsive decline forming higher-degree Wave (A). Waves 1 and 2 appear complete, while Wave 3 is extending toward the 4360-4400 support zone. A corrective Wave 4 rebound toward 4480 is expected before Wave 5 drives price lower to complete Wave (A) around 4280-4300.
Thereafter, a corrective Wave (B) rally may test 4540, followed by a final Wave (C) decline targeting the 3500-3800 region.

Gold has completed a higher degree five wave impulse, topping at Wave 1/A near 4697.55, and is currently unfolding a corrective Wave 2/B decline.
The internal corrective structure suggests sub-waves (a) and (b) are complete, with subwave (c) now extending lower toward the 4280.00-4320.00 support zone, an area that aligns with the prior Wave IV structure and key demand.
Upon completion of Wave 2/B, the market is expected to establish a significant corrective low, setting the stage for a strong bullish Wave 3/C advance targeting 4900.00 and above.
Scenario #02 Bullish Continuation
