‘Behold, the only [true] religion in the sight of Allah is Islam (self-surrender unto Him); and those who were vouchsafed revelation aforetime took, out of mutual jealousy, to divergent views [on this point] only after knowledge [thereof] had come unto them. But as for him who denies the truth of Allah’s messages - behold, Allah is swift in reckoning!’ Al-Quran (3:19)
Imam at-Tirmidhi رحمه الله narrates from Muhammad Ibn Sirin رحمه الله who narrates from Abu Hurairah رضي الله تعالى عنه that Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “There are three types of dreams: 1) True Dreams 2) A dream in which a person is speaking to himself (i.e. whatever you were thinking about in the day time, you see at night) 3) A dream from shaytaan in which he wants to make you sad ”
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Had I not thought it difficult for my Ummah, I would have commanded them to use the Miswak before every Salah.'' [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
The Imām, Shaykh ʿAbd al ‘Azīz ibn Bāz [رحمه الله] said:

“So your brother is the one who advises you, reminds you, and alerts you.

Your brother is not the one who gives you no thought, avoids you, or speaks to you with pretty words that lack real truth and sincerity.

Rather, your brother, in reality, is the one who advises you, the one who admonishes you, and reminds you.

He calls you to Allāh, keeps explaining to you the path to deliverance clearly until you follow it, and warns you about the path to destruction – he keeps explaining to you how evil its end is until you avoid it.”

And He is the Best Disposer of Affairs.’ —and the water had been putrid but became pure, salty but then became sweet.’” Mawsoo’ah Ibn Abid-Dunyaa, vol. 2. p. 220.

She said: Perhaps you belong to the place where women enter hot baths (for washing ). The said: Yes. She said: I heard the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) say: If a woman puts off her clothes in a place other than her house, she tears the veil between her and Allah, the Exalted.

ibn Uthaymeen رحمه الله تعالى said: Every time a person’s Eeman strengthens with the Qur’aan, then Allaah سبحانه و تعالى gives Yaqeen [certainty] due to the evidences of the Qur’aan which cannot be found in any other book. This is why I encourage you and my self to have complete concern for the Qur’aan, reciting it, reflecting upon it and acting upon it. Experience this for yourself, return to the Qur’aan in these matters and see what your heart acquires from Eemaan, delight of the heart, light of the heart and light on the face. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Once the Prophet (Sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) was speaking to us when, a bedouin came and asked him: “When will the Last Day be?” The Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) continued his talk. Some of those present thought that he had heard him but disliked the interruption and the other said that he had not hear him. When the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) concluded his speech he asked, “Where is the one who inquired about the Last Day?” The man replied: “Here I am.” The Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) replied, “When the practice of honouring a trust is lost, expect the Last Day.” He asked: “How could it be lost?” He replied, “When the government is entrusted to the undeserving people, then wait for the Last Day.”[Al- Bukhari]. Narrated Abu Hurayrah: Abu Dharr said: Prophet of Allah. The wealthy people have all the rewards; they pray as we pray; they fast as we fast; and they have surplus wealth which they give in charity; but we have no wealth which we may give in charity. The Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) said: Abu Dharr, should I not teach you phrases by which you acquire the rank of those who excel you? No one can acquire your rank except one who acts like you. He said: Why not, Apostle of Allah? He said: Exalt Allah (say: Allah is Most Great) after each prayer thirty-three times; and praise Him (say: Praise be to Allah) thirty-three times; and glorify Him (say: Glory be to Allah) thirty-three times, and end it by saying, “There is no god but Allah alone, there is no partner, to Him belongs the Kingdom, to Him praise is due and He has power over everything”. Verily, in the body is a piece of flesh which, if sound, the entire body is sound, and if corrupt, the entire body is corrupt. Truly, it is the heart.

The Virtue of Ramadan and the Revelation of the Qur'an in it

Allah says;

شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِيَ أُنزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْانُ

The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Qur'an,

Allah praised the month of Ramadan out of the other months by choosing it to send down the Glorious Qur'an, just as He did for all of the Divine Books He revealed to the Prophets.

Imam Ahmad reported Wathilah bin Al-Asqa that Allah's Messenger said:

The Suhuf (Pages) of Ibrahim were revealed during the first night of Ramadan. The Torah was revealed during the sixth night of Ramadan. The Injil was revealed during the thirteenth night of Ramadan. Allah revealed the Qur'an on the twenty-fourth night of Ramadan.

The Virtues of the Qur'an

Allah said:

هُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِّنَ الْهُدَى وَالْفُرْقَانِ
a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong).

Here Allah praised the Qur'an, which He revealed as guidance for the hearts of those who believe in it and adhere to its commands.

Allah said:
وَبَيِّنَاتٍ
(and clear proofs) meaning, as clear and unambiguous signs and unequivocal proof for those who understand them.

These proofs testify to the truth of the Qur'an, its guidance, the opposite of misguidance, and how it guides to the straight path, the opposite of the wrong path, and the distinction between the truth and falsehood, and the permissible and the prohibited.

Imam Maalik رحمه الله said: “Whosoever introduces into Islam an innovation, and holds it to be something good, has indeed alleged that Muhammad ﷺ has betrayed his message.
This is a part of the news of the Ghaib (Unseen, i.e. the news of the past nations of which you have no knowledge) which We reveal to you (O Muhammad ﷺ). You were not with them, when they cast lots with their pens as to which of them should be charged with the care of Maryam …
Fasting was observed on the day of 'Ashura' (i.e. 10th of Muharram) by the people of the Pre-lslamic Period. But when (the order of compulsory fasting) in the month of ramadan was revealed, the Prophet [ﷺ] said, "It is up to one to fast on it (i.e. day of 'Ashura') or not." (Narrated Ibn 'Umar: Bukhari, Book #60, Hadith #28)
Ibn Hazim رحمه الله تعالى said:

Increase in the Dhikr Laa ilaaha illaAllaah – verily, these are words which are pronounced without the movement of the lips, so that the one sitting next to you is unaware (you are in Dhikr) since he is unable to see you utter this statement.
