Nostalgia maraphon continued, another old wallpaper of mine: Music Is Power, 2007.
It's not very popular, but for some reason, I like it very much.

New wallpaper: Headphones
It might sound weird, but headphones always were an important part of my life. I've been addicted to music listening since forever, and have always owned and actively used at least one pair.
I made this picture in a new app I'm learning: Affinity Designer. So far so good! I'll publish the walkthrough video soon, hoping it will be useful.

Another wallpaper of mine from 2007: The Tree of Books.
I used to like drawing spirals back then :-) And books, and trees.

"It’s been 15 months since any new wallpapers. Not bothering anymore? Finished with it?"
"such a silence from your creativity. I hope nothing bad happened to you."
"I noticed that you haven't been uploading too much for coupke of months already. I understand that there must be some reasons behind - if there is anything me or teh community could help, please don't hesitate to let us know."
"Are you there? Hope you are ok."

Dear Internet,
I'm fine and well, sorry for silence! Let me reflect a bit and write about why I haven't been drawing lately. As often, it's a combination of many things, not one particular reason.

- for many years, I've worked as a freelancing product designer, and as a hobby, learned a bit of programming. Couple of years ago, though, one of my projects required deeper knowledge of modern front-end development. Things progressed well, and today I am a full-time member of a small but excellent team, writing front-end code and doing all kinds of product-related things. I enjoy this job a lot, but there is a caveat; it takes all my time and creative energy.
- I left Russia, my home country, 2.5 years ago, as well as most of my friends and people I follow. Many of them are artists or writers. I noticed a trend of some kind of "creative apathy" among them – many creative people, even if not actually depressed, create much less. I may be a part of this trend as well, without realizing it.
- I went through some personal issues that involved psychologist (all's well now). Did not help either!
- to be completely honest, right now I am not feeling like I have something to say visually (might be related to all above). I do hope this will change; and I suspect it's somewhat a matter of discipline. Just sit down and draw a damn thing!
That's what I'll do... Some time 🙂
P.S. I am still addicted to maps, and I hope to draw a lot of them.
