WHY I REWATCH MOVIES INSTEAD OF WATCHING NEW ONES?
I really like watching movies. But over time, I realized something: just watching movies started feeling like wasted time.
I tried solving that by doing something productive while watching—studying, working, writing, designing. But there’s a problem.
If I focus 70–80% on the work, I barely understand the movie.
If I focus on the movie, the work gets done poorly.
In the end, I either have:
• A completed task + a half-watched movie.
or
• A fully watched movie + a half-finished task.
So I found a better solution: rewatching movies.
When you’ve already seen a film, you don’t need to give it 100% of your attention. Missing five minutes doesn’t matter—you already know the story, the characters, and what comes next.
It becomes the perfect background while you:
• study,
• work,
• edit videos,
• write essays,
• or do any task that doesn’t require complete silence.
You still enjoy the atmosphere, the soundtrack, and the emotions of the movie, while actually getting meaningful work done.
For me, rewatching isn’t just entertainment anymore.
It’s one of the best ways to make my free time both enjoyable and productive.
