Britain's Cemeteries - A View Into The Past (#Bow, East #London)

This trailer gives light to the importance, beauty and history still found in our old graveyards which have laid unaffected for centuries as the world around them changes for the worse.

The Albert #RomanRoad, #Bow, #E3
Some of the most simple things have the greatest of importance.

I'd never be as content eating in a 5 star gourmet restaurant as I would a simple trip to a good pie and mash shop.

This Railway Bridge sits on a site which was struck by the first 'flying bomb' in 1944.

The #BluePlaque was placed in 1988 by #EnglishHeritage. Below is the bridge today and a vintage image of the bombs damage.

Grove Road, #Bow, #London, #E3 in the Borough of #TowerHamlets.
This interesting building on Arbery Road #Bow, #London, #E3 has very unique brickwork.

It looks as though bomb damage (#Blitz of #WW2) was the culprit and one can see the property would have once been a shop, like the homes beside it which had once been a parade of shops.

Little gems still exist among our rapidly changing environment, make the most of them while we can.

This relic still keeps it's brewery signs on display but it's long since died as a drinking establishment. One day just seeing signs of old Pubs may be all we're left with.

The lost voice of #London's market trader.

I once ran my own stall on #RomanRoad, #Bow & grew up using #Walthamstow market.
During my youth, #London markets were a reminder of our down to earth, homely roots. I can still hear the veg stall from years ago & hope I always will.
Only the best for Vin... #Bow, #E3
