Queen Elizabeth's Hunting Lodge
Grade II* listed #Tudor building which is now a museum.
Located on the edge of #Epping Forest (8 Rangers Road, #Chingford, #London #E4, - London Borough of #WalthamForest, near Greater London's boundary with #Essex).
The entire site is amazing with the Butlers retreat on one side and the Royal Forrest hotel/pub on the other.
Originally built by #HenryVIII in 1543 and would later be renovated by #ElizabethI it still overlooks a surviving medieval #royal #hunting forest.
Few builds of the past stand so proudly in such a way as this small window of history. The grounds like the post code mead a lot to me and many others and I hope those who can make the time to see it.

#OnThisDay in medieval 1381, an #English uprising known as the #PeasantsRevolt took place. Uprisings in #Essex, #Kent & #London would have #RichardII meet & lie to the rebels at #MileEnd. Today the left/mainstream try to claim this as their own form of proto-socialist history.
Images I snapped of a lovely cobbled road in #Essex by using passing car lights. There's no reason we couldn't still do this across the UK, especially seeing as they clearly last a very long time. Obviously not outside an elderly home, but in all the places it would be sensible.
