Sea-food stalls once littered the nation, found out the front or back of countless #British #Pubs, feeding the merry. Today seeing them seems to be a treat and we feel this subject deserves covering properly. 🐟 🍻

This is a heartbreaking image of #British soldiers lighting a cigarette for a wounded #German prisoner during #WWI in 1916. Some may see a nice moment despite hellish circumstances, but I see evidence of #whatawaste each #European war has been.

Our similarities have always outweighed our differences.

The following πŸ“Έ's are a one legged #German who'd served in #WW1 begging in #Berlin, #Germany, 1923, and a #British soldier who died of the winter cold whilst sleeping rough in modern #Edinburgh, #Scotland.

What a waste.

A view into the life of the #British factory worker and their many hardships (1971). In a time when cash was king, life was still hard, but at least we had community & each other. Unions (government cons) & Factory owners helped trick workers into creating a 'STATE' of disrepair.
When will modern nationals realise our ancestors historically suffered in the same way we do today, due to the so-called #British Empire. Look at todays world & you'll realise that while we died in battle or factories, other nations benefited at our expense.

Weigh it up.
The sale of a #British dream is, in fact, a foreign nightmare.
The only true commonality between the #British and #Roman empires is that they both damaged their own homelands more than any outside nation they ventured.
