The #HardyTree stood for years at one of #Britain's oldest sites of Christian worship. It's roots are surrounded by the gravestones of those who'd been exhumed years ago.

The Mildenhall Great Dish

From the Cultures/period of the Romano-British (40s AD). The characters include the hero Hercules, drunk on wine, supported by two satyrs. This is a mesmerising, glorious relic from pre-Christian #Britain.

3D reconstruction of the Roman tavern in #Pompeii. It's from "Tabernas" like this that #Britain would gain its pubs during the Romano-British period. What began with wine ended in Beer.

The Fishpool Hoard of (15th century) discovered, in #Ravenshead#Nottinghamshire, is the largest hoard of medieval coins ever found in #Britain. Probably buried between 1463-1464, after the Battle of #Hexham in May 1464, (War of the Roses).
