Wow, in their panic it seems Westpac have just admitted they are passing on the customers Mortgage or Death pledge contract to 3rd parties without their knowledge or consent, and it looks like they believe a letter being created decades after the fact will cover them. That is breach of contract as and according to contract law, and they have admitted here that they have no right of claim.
