"Alles Sal Reg Kom" (Everything will come right), is a rare SS recruitment poster in Afrikaans (1941). In the background is the historic figure of Paul Kruger, the president of the ZAR during the Second Anglo Boer War. After the annexation of the Boer republics a new pro-British army was created from their lands, used to invade German South West Africa. It caused a civil uprising led by veterans of the Boer War, which was crushed by this army. During the Second World War some Afrikaners joined the German army or helped sabotage the British government.

A report of a Roman trade shipwreck find claimed along Brazil Coast. Site was covered up with sand, and further excavation banned.
Debunked: “Let them eat cake” quote attributed to Marie-Antoinette, the queen of France during the French Revolution.
The earliest known source connecting the quote with the queen was published more than 50 years after the French Revolution.
In an 1843 issue of the journal Les Guêpes, the French writer Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr reported having found the quote in a “book dated 1760". He was probably just repeating something he had heard.
