During the three peaceful marches in Selma, Alabama, led by Martin Luther King, in defense of civil rights, from March 7 to 25, 1965, the demonstrators were violently repressed.
Following this repression,
The 36th President of USA 🇺🇸 Lyndon B. Johnson, took all the necessary and legal measures so that the demonstrations could take place without repression and that the law be applied according to the rights and liberties.
