Hamas has reportedly rejected an Israeli proposal for a six-week ceasefire in Gaza that required the group to disarm.

According to a senior Palestinian official involved in the negotiations, the proposal offered no guarantees of ending the war or withdrawing Israeli troops—two of Hamas’s key demands—in return for releasing half of the remaining living hostages.

Meanwhile, Israel continues its military operations in Gaza.
