“The City Always Wins” by Artist Klone A selection of digital interventions by Ukrainian artist Klone (previously featured here). Currently based in Tel Aviv, Klone takes personal photos of the various cities and sites he’s travelled around the world and merges them with digital sketches rendered on an iPad. The practice is part of a growing trend of artists using technology to disrupt the cannon of classical muralism. Klone’s own interventions are an effort to challenge and dismantle boundaries as a way of helping to further evolve the practice. #art
Where the mountain range of Sierra Madre del Sur gently descends towards the Pacific Ocean lies Puerto Escondido, a seaside town whose beach break has made it one of the most popular spots on the west coast of Mexico.
In a series of digital collages titled ‘Invasio’, Samm Escobar discusses both the problems and prosperity that have come with the increasing popularity of Puerto Escondido, the town he calls home. #art

Servin Seudaliev, a 2D designer and a CG artist that specializes in illustrations from Lviv, Ukraine. He made a series of iconic cars from Hollywood movies, they are cartoonish and well made. I just like how the top of the car is kind on the higher size of things which is really eye pleasant to look at. It's stylish! It quite fun to see how the artist looks at things from another perspective, this series is amusing and definitely bring some smile. You can check out more of his work, give some follow via Behance. #illustration #art

Subversively Elegant Portraits of Indigenous People Drawn on Repurposed Ledgers by Artist Chris Pappan. Using graphite, colored pencils, ink, and water-based media, the artist illustrates black-and-white portraits on a variety of intentionally sourced materials, like municipal ledgers and mining certificates. One artwork (shown below) features five mirrored figures imprinted on Boy Scouts of America neckerchiefs that offer commentary on the destructive practices of the youth organization by recreating appropriated imagery. #Illustration #art #colored #portrait #people
The Blue Hour: Lyrical Illustrations Catalog a Menagerie of Specimens in Earth’s Rarest Pigment. French illustrator and author Isabelle Simler deftly renders the liminal time surrounding dusk through a poetic exploration of Earth’s rarest color. The Blue Hour winds through the natural world on a journey to spot the pigment, from a bluejay resting on ice-coated branches to robin’s eggs to midnight skies and ocean depths. Simler focuses on “this time of day, when daytime animals enjoy the last moments before nighttime animals wake up. This in-between where the sounds and smells are denser and where the bluish light gives depth to the landscapes.”#animals #birds #books #color #drawing #Iinsect #landscapes #nature #art #illustration
Digital Artworks by Guenter Zimmermann.
Based in Berlin, Germany, Guenter Zimmermann is an art director specializing in mixed media and digital work. The artist says “Digital work is very forgiving. Any mistakes are easily erased and this saves time and paper. Of course, on the other hand, the artistic decision is deprived of its radicalism. I would have loved to have seen Vincent van Gogh working on an iPad.”

For more of Guenter Zimmermann’s digital paintings, please visit his portfolio on Behance or follow him on Instagram.
