🇺🇸 The Trump administration believes that paracetamol use during pregnancy may raise the risk of autism in children, according to The Washington Post citing sources.
Federal health authorities are expected to issue a warning about the use of acetaminophen — the active ingredient in Tylenol and one of the most widely used drugs worldwide — by pregnant women.
At the same time, officials plan to promote the little-known drug leucovorin as a possible treatment for autism. Traditionally, it is prescribed to counter the side effects of certain medications and to treat vitamin B9 deficiency.
