What is the difference between Model & Family in Revit?

Model is the overall project which consists of walls, slabs, columns, etc., for the architectural and structural projects.

Also model consists of ducts, pipes, cable trays, mechanical equipment, etc., for their MEP project.

While Family is a component of the overall project, for example, the table is a family, and the fan coil unit is a family.

Types of Traps in Western Water Closets 🚽

In order to form a seal and prevent (trap) unwanted gasses from escaping from the sewerage, the trap retains some water. 💨💧

For an S-Trap toilet, the soil drainage pipe exits the toilet through the floor.

While in a P-Trap, the soil drainage pipe exits through the wall.

The easiest way to remember this is by remembering the direction of drainage water flow, as shown in the attached photo of this post.
