✅ How to start UPSC Preparation?
1. Understand the Syllabus: Familiarize yourself with the syllabus and exam pattern—Prelims (MCQs), Mains (Descriptive), and the Interview.
2. Check Previous Year Papers: Go through past 5-10 years’ Prelims, Mains, and optional subject papers to understand question trends and difficulty levels.
3. NCERTs First: Build strong basics by reading NCERTs (Class 6-12) for key subjects.
4. Make a Plan: Create a structured daily and weekly plan, covering all subjects systematically.
5. Standard Books: Refer to standard books (Laxmikanth for Polity, Spectrum for History) after completing NCERTs.
6. Daily Current Affairs: Read newspapers like The Hindu daily and make notes.
7. Revise Continuously: Regular revision is crucial—make concise notes for quick reference.
8. Stay Disciplined: Stick to your routine, avoid distractions, and prioritize your well-being.

🔆 Delhi Sultanate Architecture: Dynasties & Key Innovations
📍 Slave/Mamluk Dynasty (1206–1290)
✅ Known as Mamluk style
✅ Introduction of arches, domes, minarets, Arabic inscriptions
✅ Influence of Roman architecture through arches & domes
✅ Post-and-lintel (slab-beam) technique
✅ Use of Arabesque patterns and Quranic inscriptions
✅ Innovation: First true arch in Balban’s tomb
✅ Examples: Qutub Minar, Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque, Arhai-din-ka-Jhonpra, Balban’s Tomb
📍 Khilji Dynasty (1290–1320)
✅ Seljuk influence with red sandstone & marble
✅ Use of mortar, recessed arches, perforated windows
✅ Pointed/horse-shoe arches, large domes
✅ Innovation: Arcuate style, use of red sandstone & marble
✅ Examples: Alai Darwaza, Siri Fort
📍 Tughlaq Dynasty (1320–1414)
✅ Strong, massive structures with minimal decoration
✅ Batter style (sloping walls), stone rubble, four-centered arches, pointed domes
