How to start UPSC Preparation?
1. Understand the Syllabus: Familiarize yourself with the syllabus and exam patternโPrelims (MCQs), Mains (Descriptive), and the Interview.

๐ Slave/Mamluk Dynasty (1206โ1290)
โ Known as Mamluk style
โ Introduction of arches, domes, minarets, Arabic inscriptions
โ Influence of Roman architecture through arches & domes
โ Post-and-lintel (slab-beam) technique
โ Use of Arabesque patterns and Quranic inscriptions
โ Innovation: First true arch in Balbanโs tomb
โ Examples: Qutub Minar, Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque, Arhai-din-ka-Jhonpra, Balbanโs Tomb
๐ Khilji Dynasty (1290โ1320)
โ Seljuk influence with red sandstone & marble
โ Use of mortar, recessed arches, perforated windows
