*URGENT NOTICE: IMMEDIATE RELOCATION FOR FUMIGATION*

All residents of Queen Elizabeth II Hall are hereby informed that the hall will be fumigated tomorrow, April 3, 2025. Consequently ,it is mandatory for all occupants to vacate the hall by 6:00 PM today, April 2, 2025, and relocate to Idia Hall for a period of three days.

This fumigation exercise is essential for maintaining a healthy living environment within the hall. However, the chemicals used in the process are highly toxic and hazardous to health. Exposure to these substances can pose serious risks, especially if personal belongings, food items, or other essentials are left behind. To avoid any health complications or property damage, all residents must ensure that they pack up and take every personal item along before leaving.

The Hall Management emphasizes that no luggage, food, or personal belongings should be left behind.
Compliance is compulsory, and failure to adhere to this directive will lead to severe penalty.
UPDATE: Abdulsalam Abubakar Postgraduate Hall is presently being fumigated today. The process will last for 2 days whereby occupants will be allowed to return to the hall.

Compulsory courses are courses you must take and pass in a selected program.

Ideally the pass mark for PG school is 50 but UI has made theirs 40. However if you are just scoring within the range of 40-49, you'd be given a pass certification which can be termed a certificate of attendance. You know what that means.

Required courses are courses from your specialization and need to be passed. However you may not pass all required courses, but as long as your TCU is above the minimum for graduation. They'd graduate you.

Elective courses are extra courses to add up your credit unit

Graduation requires a minimum of 30 credit units.
For specialization courses and certification in any specialty. There is a minimum requirement of course to offer to be awarded a certificate in such specialization.

You're free to take courses outside your specialization and other departments if it's related to your specialization...the course would be seen as an elective.

For you to be qualified for an exam. You must have a minimum of 75% attendance

The fact you register for a course doesn't guarantee you writing the exams for that course if the conditions above are not met.
You can't be a full-time student in computer Science and another department...

If you're running a Job, full-time ensure you're not caught running both as the law says you cannot run a full-time program and full time Job concurrently.

You're advised to take a study leave from your work place for your program. If you know running both hands in hand would cause a problem. You can switch your mode of study to part time
CA is 30 marks
Exams 70 marks.

Scale 7 point scale.

Pass mark is 40.

No make up test except you are medically not available. Before you can be considered for make up

If you miss an exam. It's till the next session that the exams can be rescheduled for you... No make up exams too.

All these can vary based on your respective departments.
