Built in the 1960s for Emperor Haile Selassie, the Koka Palace is a modernist lakeside retreat near Lake Koka, Ethiopia, possibly designed by Italian architect Arturo Mezzedimi. This private villa, reflecting Selassie’s vision of imperial modernity, features clean lines and subtle Ethiopian motifs. Closed to the public since the 1974 revolution, it remains neglected, overshadowed by Addis Ababa’s iconic buildings.

Designed by #radarchitect, the Sagehaus Office in Jakarta redefines workplace design with its “Dome for Wind” concept. By carving negative spaces within the building, it channels natural breezes into shaded, green communal areas, creating cool, inviting spots for staff to connect and relax. Breezeways double as vibrant social corridors, fostering interaction in Jakarta’s humid climate without relying on mechanical cooling. Sagehaus blends architecture with nature, crafting a sustainable, human-centric workspace.
