The ET 302 Memorial, designed by Alebel Desta Consulting Architects and Engineers, is a finalist in the 2025 Architizer A+Awards under the Religious Buildings & Memorials category. Located in Ethiopia, this four-hectare memorial park, completed in 2025, honors the 157 victims of the Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 crash in 2019. The design integrates the crash site and burial ground, featuring a main monument with four sculptural forms symbolizing Africa, Europe, North America, and Asia, inspired by Ethiopia’s rock-hewn architecture. These structures include plaques with victims’ names and spaces for reflection, emphasizing absence and healing. Paths guide visitors through the narrative of the tragedy, blending with the surrounding farmland.

Vote from May 5–16, 2025, via the link to support this Ethiopian masterpiece for the Popular Choice Award, celebrating resilience and global design excellence.
