Berlin Hub launch 🦾🍄

On September 6, Unitaware.com and 10billion.org hosted our first-ever Building What the Future Needs conference

Over 50 participants came from all over Europe for a day of connection, reflection, and idea exchange — from AGI and data to life sciences, networks, and even AI & religion. Please find the materials for these great talks above

If you are in the participants' chat, join the hub via the link in the pinned chat messages. For other candidates — check the next messages in this channel!

What’s next:
* Regular meetups for networking & genuine connection
* Upskilling & career exploration session
* Meta-skills workshops
* Project incubation & fundraising
* Festivals, friendships, discovery
* and more, limited only by the imagination and resourcefulness of our hub members (which kinda looks unlimited 😁)

This is just the beginning. Let’s build the future together!

Hi everyone!

Our community’s first Berlin meetup is coming up 🌍
When: Oct 4, 14:00 (CEST)
Where: TBA (Berlin)

We’ll get together to plan how we build and grow the community, align on shared values, map out near-term goals and tasks, and share what each of us hopes to get from participating. We’ll also run a few short sessions on values and beliefs (e.g., self-concordance).

To join or invite a friend, please complete this quick 3–10 min form: https://forms.gle/HcoQdDnFFkY2CVVF6

If you attended our conference, you don’t need the form — just join the hub here (access for conference chat members): https://t.me/c/2459097137/244

P.S. We know EAGx overlaps that weekend and will plan with that in mind.
P.P.S. We’ll include a short hybrid segment (online + on-site in Berlin) for those not in the city.

Hello everyone! 🌲

We’re excited to host the third meeting of the Berlin Hub.

This time, we’ll reflect on our year 2025: identify the values that mattered most to us, recall the events that shaped our year, and set meaningful goals for the upcoming one.

This practice is both personal and collective — your reflections help shape the direction of our community, because a community is built by its people.

The meeting will take place on 14.12 at 2 PM in Kreuzberg (the exact address will be shared with Berlin Hub participants).

If you have any questions, please contact @Arrrdelina.

If you attended the conference and did not join the hub, but would like to become part of it and come to the meeting, please also contact @Arrrdelina. 🙂

💎💎💎Unitaware x 10Billion: Global Fellowship💎💎💎

Hey beautiful people, we’re launching a development fellowship for 10–20 outstanding people worldwide. You can shape the first cohort with us — and get international recognition from respected organizations along the way!

💎Context💎
We’re focused on a specific set of values — consciousness, cooperation, real-world impact. People who combine these values with actual influence on the world are rare.
We identify those who do, give them what we can — our knowledge, experience, network, and invite the most aligned into our growing community.
Participants gain opportunities, connections, and a platform to share their projects and perspectives.

💎Format💎
• First edition: mostly online (optional in-person sessions in Germany and/or Southeast Asia)
• Going forward: hybrid format with 2–3 in-person gatherings per year
• Highly selective: 10–20 people globally, no citizenship/residency restrictions
• Co-run by Unitaware and 10Billion with some more partners involved
• First edition: most likely without salaries; leadership of partner orgs will personally contribute a grant for the top fellow
• Future editions: planned stipends

💎Ways to get involved💎
Besides fellows (the ones going through the program), there’s also room to join the team.

Currently open roles are:

- Co-lead (program design, tracking, etc.)
- Operations assistant
- Talent scouts (to identify potential fellows)
- Media & communications support
- Design (visual materials)
- Local partnerships assistant

And if you have another idea — we’re open to shaping a role around you!
All part-time. Optional mentorship from the founders throughout the process.

💎Why join the team💎
We’re bringing in both nonprofits and mission-driven businesses as partners. You’ll be able to position this as international-scale work delivered with influential organizations.
People from the first edition — esp. those helping launch it — get priority access to future iterations.

Questions are welcome in the chat space

Dear community members, I would like to announce our next meetup: “From Parts to Self” (IFS-style practice).

🗓 31 January, 3:00 PM (Berlin time)

In this session we’ll gently notice one “part” of us (like the inner critic, anxious one, etc.), understand what it’s trying to protect, and learn how to calm it down and feel more centered.

Information about the location will follow later 😶

When: 22.03, 12:00 - 15:00

TL;DR: We’re gathering builders across ML/crypto/mech design/engineering to co-build one open-source decentralised, encrypted LLM on blockchain in 48 hours (Apr 17–19).

DISTRIBUTE//AI
a 48-hour collaborative hackathon
(April 17–19, London HQ + 20+ chapters across Eurasia and Africa)

Together with Bloomsbury Technology and Abelar, we’re running a hackathon that’s not a competition, but a coordinated build: a decentralised, encrypted, incentive-aligned LLM on blockchain. One shared architecture, one codebase — everything open-source.

Tracks:
CS / ML — federated training, model partitioning, gradient aggregation
Cryptography — HE / MPC / ZK (weight security, privacy-preserving inference)
Mechanism Design — incentives/tokenomics for decentralised compute + inference
Engineering — smart contracts, node infrastructure, API layer, integration & deployment

We are looking for:
ML engineers/researchers, cryptographers, blockchain & smart contract devs, mechanism designers/economists, systems & infra builders, students and early-career folks. No cross-domain background needed — depth in your track is enough.

Registration & details

If you want to join from your city and help run a local chapter, leave a comment or DM — we’ll share the onboarding details.
