🤖 Claude Code gets computer use on macOS

Anthropic added Computer use to Claude Code. The agent can now write code, compile it, run the app, click through the UI, find a bug, fix it, and check the result from one prompt.

The feature is available as a research preview on Pro and Max plans, only on macOS for now. It can be enabled through /mcp in settings.

This pushes coding agents one step closer to handling the full loop, not just the code itself.

Cavela — an AI platform accelerating manufacturing 10x

📊 Cavela is a startup focused on automating the physical product manufacturing process using artificial intelligence. The company has raised $6.6 million in seed funding from leading investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Felicis, and Y Combinator.

In traditional manufacturing supply chains, companies often lose significant time and resources identifying the right factories, negotiating with suppliers, agreeing on pricing and terms, and managing production and logistics.

🔜Cavela optimizes this entire process through AI agents:
— identifies suppliers globally
— conducts negotiations automatically
— monitors production in real time
— manages the supply chain end-to-end

📈 How startups got their first 1,000 users

Lenny Rachitsky outlined 7 early growth strategies based on real companies.

🖱 DoorDash, Etsy, Uber went offline and met users directly.

🖱 Buffer, Dropbox, Netflix found users online.

🖱 LinkedIn and Slack grew through invites. Robinhood and Spotify used waitlists to create demand.

Early traction came from manual distribution, not paid marketing.

🤖 OpenAI proposes rebuilding the economy for the AI era

OpenAI published a policy paper arguing current economic systems are not ready for AI. Sam Altman said the shift toward superintelligence is close and could reshape jobs, security, and social stability.

The plan treats AI as core infrastructure, with universal access similar to electricity. It suggests shifting taxes from labor to capital, since automation could shrink wage-based income.

It also proposes a public wealth fund to distribute AI-driven profits to citizens, and separating social benefits from employment as job stability declines.

Additional measures include audits of advanced models, global safety coordination, and testing a 4-day workweek.

Google AI Overviews accuracy has reached 91%.

According to an independent test conducted by the Oumi startup, Google AI Overviews was evaluated using the SimpleQA benchmark. After switching to Gemini 3, overall accuracy increased from 85% to 91%.

However, a significant issue has emerged — the quality of source attribution has worsened.
• In cases where the answer is correct, but the sources do not actually support it, the rate increased from 37% to 56%
• The system often relies on social media posts
• Reliable sources are sometimes ignored

In addition, the AI search system is vulnerable to SEO manipulation: data from optimized blogs is often picked up and presented as “truth” at the top of results. Even though accuracy has improved, the mismatch between information and sources makes verification of answers more difficult.

⚖️ Harvey hits $200M+ ARR in 3 years by targeting top law firms first

In 2022, the founders tested GPT-3 on 100 legal questions from Reddit. 86 answers passed review by real lawyers. They sent results to Sam Altman and secured a seed check with early GPT-4 access.

Instead of starting with small firms, they went straight to Allen & Overy while still a 4-person team. The first 50 enterprise clients came through referrals, driven by trust networks in the legal industry.

About 20% of Harvey’s 460 employees are lawyers, helping close deals through peer credibility. The company is now shifting from selling licenses to enabling firms to build AI workflows and sell them via revenue share.
