Run for Ukraine 🏃🏃♀️
A 5 km race was organized in Tampa, Florida to help raise money and awareness for the war in Ukraine. It was organized by American Jim Zwers who has come in Ukraine several times.
Many people came out to support the cause including several Ukrainians who live in America. One of the more known runners was Nadiia Osmanakina from Kyiv. Osmanakina is a coach of the Adidas running team of Kyiv.
She recently ran the famous Boston Marathon as well as the New York Marathon and the Chicago Marathon. She said that “It’s important to not be silent about the horrible things happening in Ukraine. The more we let people know, the more lives we will same. You never know what country will be next”.
🇺🇦 Such initiatives are a vivid example of the fact that everyone can help Ukraine today, regardless of which country or city you live in.
All the funds raised was given to volunteers and to support the military defending our great country.
