Actor Robert De Niro has spoken out about the Russian invasion of Ukraine when he appeared in front of students at Cambridge University.

He flew over to the UK from New York on Saturday having agreed to speak at the Cambridge Union on Sunday.

He spoke about his acting career, but when asked his views on Ukraine, he said: "You have to stand up and say "you can't do that, it's wrong." We have to do something... to stop this kind of aggression."

American PVH Corp., which owns the brands Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein and Warnerʼs, is temporarily closing its stores and suspending all commercial operations in Russia and Belarus starting from March 7.
