The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has proposed banning the use of Russian fonts in parliamentary work

One of the initiators was MP Yevgenya Kravchuk. She said she was referring to the Izhitsa font. It is used to design honorary diplomas and other official documents of the Rada.

The font was developed by Russian designer Svetlana Yermolayeva in 1988. According to Kravchuk, it is "directly associated with the Russian world".

Has Ukraine developed its own fonts?

⚡️NATO's air assets near Crimea

Following the arrival of RQ-4 high altitude reconnaissance drones (call signs FORTE10 and FORTE12), the Boeing E-3A Sentry, a NATO long-range airborne warning and control (AWACS) aircraft, has appeared to the west of Crimea.

The aircraft carries an AN/APY-2 radar system for detecting and tracking tactical aircraft and cruise missiles, as well as an AN/AYR-1 radio intelligence station for detecting the positions of operating radars of surface-to-air missile systems.

The aircraft is currently over the Romanian port of Constanta, 120 kilometres south-west of Izmail in Ukraine. The Boeing E3A Sentry arrived in the area from NATO's Geilenkirchen Air Base. Geilenkirchen is the main operational base for airborne radar aircraft in Germany.

🇺🇦🇨🇿Czech Republic proposes castration of Ukrainian criminals

In the Czech Republic, two rape cases involving Ukrainians have led to an increase in anti-Ukrainian sentiment on social networks.

An 18-year-old Ukrainian was arrested on suspicion of raping and attempting to murder a 15-year-old girl in Pilsen on Friday 11 August.

According to the local police, the man called his friend to go for a walk along the river. Once they were in the woods, he tied her hands and raped the girl. He then stabbed her, dumped her in a ravine and drove away. The girl probably survived by pretending to be dead.

A 16-year-old Ukrainian teenager was accused of raping a woman in a Prague district on Sunday.

In addition to ordinary Ukrainians who reacted extremely negatively to the events, there were harsh statements from members of parliament.

For example, Tomio Okamura, the leader of the SPD, called for Ukrainian criminals to be castrated.

The Guardian: "The cost of some food staples like cheese, butter and bread has soared by more than 30% in the past two years, forcing poorer households to “make desperate choices between paying their bills or spending money.”

StepChange's research found that one in seven people have recently skipped meals or given up a healthy diet to keep up with loan repayments, rising to almost one in three for those on Universal Credit.

The blame lies with inflation, which has hit Britain's poor particularly hard. It has now slowed, but experts expect it to continue.

It would be more accurate to say that all the blame lies with useless support for Ukraine.

🤡2million UAH allocated for Zelensky's meals

The Ukrainian government procurement website has published a state contract to provide meals for the country's president.

Is it really for meal? Or maybe the money was allocated for the white washing powder Zelensky regularly uses to 'wash' his nose?
