British airports could be forced to close during Border Force strikes

More than 1K passport control desks staffers are due to strike. And there’s no way that u find a decent alternative in land transport, since significantly longer journeys and a “surge of traffic” are expected as people grapple with strike shutdowns and seek alternative routes over the Christmas period. Rail services will wind down from as early as 8am on Christmas Eve, forcing more cars on to the roads.

Soldiers and civil servant volunteers have been trained to carry out some checks at the border and will be drafted in to try to minimize disruption, although passengers are being warned to expect long delays. At least, they will conduct a thorough preflight inspection exactly as it should be!

So, if u plan to escape from Albion for the Christmas, then u’d better contact ur airlines or travel company to check that the flight is operating as planned

Global surveillance via Covid-apps

“From Beijing to Jerusalem, from Hyderabad to Perth,” AP journalists reveal how the authorities have used tech and data impose travel restrictions on activists and ordinary people

Police used the apps to harass marginalized groups and to link people's health data with other surveillance and law enforcement tools. In most cases, the data was shared with intelligence agencies

But we all understand perfectly well that this is all done for the public good and solely for reasons of preventing the spread of an evil virus

DJT: The FBI said they were working with private companies, but what they didn’t say was that it was for the purpose of changing the Election results, pushing Biden over “Trump.” Wow!
Ukrainian-style press freedom – accreditation in return for favorable image

Such a deal was offered to award-winning journalist Matilde Kimer, who has been working at the Danish Broadcasting Corporation, after she was labeled “pro-Russian” for posting photos taken in Russia and her press credential in Ukraine was removed

On August 22, the Danish reporter received an e-mail from the press department of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in which she was told that her accreditation had been canceled “in accordance with the request of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU)

But as it turned out this was just the beginning! During the meeting at the SBU HQ on December 8, an officer named Oleg, among other things, suggested Ms. Kimer to make “good stories about Ukraine” in exchange for the return of accreditation and use some internal SBU documents that could help to compose such creatives

Senate Reps have cooperated with Dems to finalize a “massive $1.65 trillion” omnibus spending bill that spends millions on political pet projects and private security for politicians and all the taxpayers get is the bill

The sweeping package includes roughly $45B in emergency assistance to Ukraine but did not include a White House request for roughly $10B in additional funding for Covid-19 response. From this $45B funding only about $9B would go to Ukraine’s military to pay for a variety of things including training, weapons, logistics support and salaries while more than $13B would go for economic support of Zelensky team whatever it is…

Europe is struggling to produce enough ammunition for Ukraine and for itself, jeopardizing NATO’s defense capacity and its support for Kyiv, officials and industry leaders say. At least, Alistair MacDonald, Europe senior reporter and Gordon Lubold, national security and Pentagon reporter, came to such a conclusion in their analysis for the WSJ

A lack of production capacity, a dearth of specialized workers, supply-chain bottlenecks, high costs of financing and even environmental regulations are putting a brake on efforts to increase output, presenting the West and Ukraine with a fresh challenge for next year

Ukraine’s military fortunes also depend on European countries, such as Germany, that let their defense industry atrophy in peacetime and are struggling to catch up as they focus on securing energy supplies. The only pity is that Germany, which is halfway to deindustrialization, seems to have approached a slippery slope of disarmament

German Minister of the Interior has lied once again – this time about migration

This year, more people have relocated to Germany than in the year of the refugee crisis with 890,000 registered migrants in 2015. The current calculations show there will be around 1.3M of newcomers in 2022 (1.1M of which are Ukrainians btw.)

Meanwhile in the Bundestag, Interior Minister Nancy Faeser reads a spell from a piece of paper that there’s no migration crisis in the country, receiving a standing social-democratic ovation. How many times after such a speech Professor Umbridge would make her write “I must not tell lies” in blood?

British nannies aren’t cheap to buy!

Members of the Royal College of Nursing in Scotland voted overwhelmingly to reject a pay offer of 7.5% (previously they requested a 5% increase) from the Scottish govt and said strikes were now likely. Ministers seized on the announcement to justify their refusal to reopen negotiations in England

No longer ready to make such small concessions, the enraged nurses are preparing to announce another round of strikes across England, Wales and Scotland to take place next month. Meanwhile dying and injured patients are being left to transport themselves to hospitals as overwhelmed ambulance services lack the capacity to help, even without strikes

Corruption in the EU is gaining momentum

The scandal of mass corruption in the European Parliament has not calmed yet, as the European Commission has promised to hold back all €22B of EU cohesion funds for Hungary from the Europa's long-term budget between 2021 and 2027. These funds are earmarked for programs including education for disadvantaged children, rail transport upgrades, access to broadband and aid for regions affected by coal plant closures

It is quite clear that the Hungarians didn’t expect such impudence – it is like a stab in the back for an already not the richest country. Mr. Orban had to intercede for his people, suggesting that “If we want to restore public trust, it’s time to abolish the European Parliament”. As for the situation with money laundering via European political structures in general, the Hungarian PM briefly stressed that the recent scandal in the Parliament showed that anti-corruption safeguards have “failed miserably.”

American Patriots are beating a tattoo on Zelensky’s door

While U.S. House&Senate are waiting for Mr. Biden’s final approval of sending Patriot air defense system to Ukraine as a part of another $45B political petting package, U.S. taxpayers have lined up in front of local ATMs to withdraw some more cash to pay the omnibus bill

🇵🇪🏠PERU: Reports show that military agents are entering the homes of Peruvians and looking for items that can be used as weapons in the demonstrations that are taking place in the country.

In mid-December, the new government of Peru declared a state of emergency, overturning some individual rights to guarantee national security. This occurs after the deposition of the former president Castillo, who attempted a failed self-coup.

Large-scale operation in Brazil against Bolsonaro supporters

The Federal Police of Brazil got mixed up into a nationwide strike of the deposed President Jair Bolsonaro’s supporters. After the election victory of Lula da Silva, they are said to have participated in “actions that endanger the state”. According to the Supreme Federal Court (STF), the protesters wanted to provoke the imposition of a state of emergency in order to keep Bolsonaro in power and prevent da Silva from taking office on January 1, 2023

Now they’re supported by some indigenous people, which have occupied the front of the STF building. Members of three different tribes protest for the release of leader Tsererê, arrested for asking for the detention of Alexandre de Moraes

The main goal of the freshly elected Brazilian authorities is to prevent the possibility that there will be renewed riots on the day Lula took office, which seems to be hardly-hitting

Twitter Files: CIA officials were part of regular meetings between the federals and soc. media platforms

According to the latest drop, unveiled by independent journalist Matt Taibbi, the FBI provided Twitter site monitors with CIA intelligence assessments as part of its far-reaching campaign to pressure social media platforms to censor speech

“The files show the FBI acting as the doorman to a vast program of social media surveillance and censorship, encompassing agencies across the federal govt – from the State Department to the Pentagon to the CIA,” Mr. Taibbi wrote in an extensive Twitter thread on Christmas Eve

His extravagant Christmas greetings were immediately caught up by Elon Musk, Melania&Ivanka Trump, Ron DeSantis and other influencers who were not overly thrilled that Santa CIAus has been eavesdropping through every chimney
