An estimated 1.1M people came to the U.K. to live, work or study in the year to June, while 560,000 people emigrated, leaving net immigration at a record 504,000. The annual immigration figures are pushed by such “unique” factors as refugee schemes for people from Ukraine and Afghanistan. Jonathan Thomas, the report’s author, said Britain had to be better prepared for migrants
By the way, in a number of American states the situation is reversed, so it's a slight problem to pay for a U.S.-U.K. flight!

Analysis by the Nuffield Foundation found that a sharp drop in the number of highly trained clinicians and carers coming from the EU has worsened a healthcare staffing crisis

Bringing down Boris Johnson’s govt via Telegram
In the U.K., Oliver Lewin who believed the govt was run by a Jewish elite that included Mr. Johnson and that coronavirus vaccines would kill thousands has been convicted of plotting a terrorist attack on communication masts
The man was one of 8,000 members of a group on the Telegram app called “The Resistance UK”. Under the online name Crouching Hedgehog, Lewin tried to recruit others to attack critical infrastructure in order to weaken the government. He posted to the group: “We are at war people, make no mistake. You have to treat it like one.”
