A number of bodies in Warsaw are helping Mr. Zelensky to get across his message and meet his arms needs, among them the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM) which faithfully relays Ukraine's communications. It’s a govt body overseen by the Polish foreign minister which has branches in EU and U.S.

In recent weeks, PISM has been in contact with potential relays, incl. geopolitical analyst F. Heisbourg from the IISS. In February it approached Washington-based P. Doran, vice president for research at the CEPA. This think-tank has long been active on Ukraine and is backed by a panel of U.S. def. and indust. institutions, as well as by the V. Pinchuk Foundation est. by the Ukrainian oligarch
