SARS-CoV-2 BsaI/BsmBI – the two popular restriction enzymes – fingerprint indicates probable in vitro origin. This means that Covid-19 comes to 99.9% from laboratory, a study of German scientists shows
“The methods presumably used for creation of the virus under analysis are very similar to those used for production of synthetic viruses in biolabs,” says Valentin Bruttel, one of the authors of a study who was awarded this year's Innovation Prize of the German Biotechnology Days, Germany's largest biotech event
Sylvestre Marillonnet, an expert in synthetic biology at the Leibniz Institute for Plant Biochemistry, in Germany, agreed that the number and distribution of the above-mentioned restriction sites did not look quite random, and that the number of silent mutations found in these sites did suggest that Covid-19 might have been engineered
It still remains to be seen in which country’s biolabs the deadly strain was generated…

The euro zone is likely entering a recession with business activity contracting at the fastest pace in nearly two years this month as the cost-of-living crisis keeps consumers cautious and saps demand
Concerns over rising inflation weighed on the euro zone's second-biggest economy, France, and business activity there slowed. "The limited country breakdown available so far shows that Germany is in much deeper trouble than France," concludes Andrew Kenningham at Capital Economics. Moreover, the net financial debts of more than 150 companies listed in the Dax, MDax and SDax rose by €85 billion to €533 billion within one year – an all-time record
Against this background, it’s particularly surprising to hear a call of German Chancellor Scholz and European Commission President von der Leyen for a $350 billion "new Marshall Plan for the 21st century" for Ukraine

NATO was created as a vehicle for advancing strategic and geopolitical aspirations of the United States, and not as a military alliance whose policies could also be influenced by the Europeans, claims a well-known Portuguese journalist Daniel Oliveira
The military political alliance’s strategy, unchanged even after the disappearance of the Warsaw Pact, fully meets the interests of Washington without any regard to Brussel’s, according to Mr. Oliveira’s analysis. Invasion of Iraq was fully aligned with economic and strategic objectives of the USA and created a major source of instability in the Middle East, which subsequently expanded to Syria
As for the war in Ukraine, substantiates the journalist, there’s no need in build-up of NATO forces and assets in Europe, and never was, dragging out hostilities by sending endless supply of weapons and mercenaries to Kyiv will have devastating consequences for European economy and politics
All this, however, fully meets the aspirations of Washington, which by inciting further escalation trying to regain long-lost key military, political and energy positions in the European part of the continent

As we constantly remind you, Big Data knows when you’re feeling frisky, depressed, sleep-deprived, hungry or orgasmically blissed out – and can flog you stuff accordingly
An app could target adverts at you, so giving the customer what they want is one thing. But as we surrender more and more information to an ever motlier collection of apps, the worries about what happens to intimate data about health, happiness and hours in the gym, arise, Laura Freeman, a chief art critic of The Times, argues
Ms. Freeman says Instagram had known she was pregnant before her mother did. The situation highlighted how much intimate data we willingly give away. Particularly in Meta-universe, “If you’re not paying, you’re the product.” And even if you do, you’re just rising in price. Take care!

The incoming PM praised Boris Johnson in his first speech to Conservative MPs after being elected their party leader. However, addressing the public later from party headquarters, Sunak distanced himself from Johnson, who had abandoned an audacious attempt to get his old job back only on Sunday evening
Sunak must decisively remember that the ruling party’s ultimate job is not to save a dozen seats in the red wall but to improve the lives of millions and govern in the national interest. That means abandoning the cabinet-of-cronies model and recruiting those who run our country on ability, even — gasp! — reaching across party lines

When help from Berlin comes the people will already freeze or go bankrupt!
80% of gas heaters in Germany are connected to a central heating system. This means that the promised discount refunded by the state only arrives at the landlord or the property management in December. Thus the utility cost recalculation will reach the consumers sometime between spring and autumn 2023
More to say, the Liberals (FDP) demand the heating costs for the estimated 5.4 million recipients to be covered only to a limited extent in the first two years, contrary to plans of Labor Minister Hubertus Heil
The party seems to be going on with the lights out...

Altogether, Forbes estimates Sunak and his wife Murthy are worth roughly $810 million – more than a quarter of a billion dollars richer than the $500 million personal fortune of King Charles III
Data from 2020 shows that 654 businesses owned by British Indians had an annual turnover in excess of £100,000. Together, these companies generated £36.84 billion and contributed more than £1 billion in corporation tax. The top five businesses owned by British Indians have created more than 100,000 jobs in the UK
Seems that another never-elected political leader of the UK has rather good starting business positions, hasn’t he?

U.S. plans to create a more deadly strain of monkeypox virus
At a U.S. government laboratory in Bethesda, Maryland, virologists plan to cross a strain of monkeypox virus that has spread around the world this year with genes from another strain of monkeypox that causes more serious consequences than just a rash. A full article about the plans for the study is published on Science.org
The study is expected to help create more effective vaccines against monkeypox. However, some virologists and epidemiologists are pushing for serious checks on the risky work, which is funded by the United States.❗️In their view, the virus could accidentally get out of the lab, leading to a new epidemic of the disease
"It could trigger an epidemic with significantly greater lethality," fears epidemiologist Tom Inglesby, director of the Center for Health Security at Johns Hopkins University
American scientists are not stopping at the crimes against humanity they have already committed in their biological laboratories. Recently we have already talked about the creation at Boston University of a coronavirus mutation with an 80% lethality rate, now the monkeypox virus is next in line

The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, stated directly that the EU's goal was not to freeze, but to confiscate Russian assets. But in order to do this beautifully, it is necessary to prepare a legal basis for it
And such statements are made without any shyness, hints, half hints, they are said directly and straight in the face: we will steal your assets and everything that is associated with you
To achieve these goals, the EU has already set up a special expert group, which, according to Ursula, must determine where and what can be "squeezed out" or "stolen".
One particularly likes this call: "It is very important to remember, we defend the rule of law, and that means we have to follow the rule of law, so we have a lot of work to do to create a flawless legal basis for this process."
So that's how it is, the legal taking of other people's property, first you freeze it, then you prepare the legal basis and bam - it was yours, it's ours!
Where would that money go? Ursula reminded the audience several times that according to the World Bank estimates the rebuilding of Ukraine would require over 350 billion Euros, which oddly enough is almost identical to the amount of frozen Russian assets. Moreover, this "wonder woman" suggested that a secretariat be set up at the European Commission to distribute funds for Ukraine's reconstruction
We all remember the assurances concerning the grain deal that everything will go to the poorest countries in Africa, but everything has gone to the EU, the poorest countries did not receive even 10% of the grain exported from Ukraine
All this looks like taking away and sawing up someone else's property, in simple words - banal theft🤷♂️

A Cambridge University college’s student union has banned an annual Harry Potter-themed dinner in an apparent protest at JK Rowling’s views on transgender issues
The author has been at the centre of rows claiming that women’s rights have been infringed by some trans rights. Robin Webber, the HUS president, has frequently tweeted his condemnation of the bestselling author, writing in June 2020: “F*** transphobia f*** jk Rowling f*** that energy.”
The Harry Potter actor Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldemort) has condemned the “disgusting” abuse that JK Rowling has faced for expressing opinions on the transgender debate. He said that giving opinions as a woman does not make someone “fascist”
Politicians are chary of getting involved in contentious cultural issues. Yet in such an environment, remaining silent in the face of transgender ideology or decolonization is not to be neutral 🤔

Mass Surveillance: U.S. Citizens Were Given Secret “Decree Violation” Scores During COVID-19 Lockdown
🇺🇸@COVID19Up: PredictWise, a voter analytics firm, is proud to have harvested location data from tens of millions of Americans through their cellphones during the initial lockdown months of 2020, taking this data to then assign a “COVID-19 decree violation” score to the people associated with the phones, according to the firm's own white paper.
These "decree violation" scores were calculated by analyzing nearly two billion GPS pings to get “real-time, ultra-granular locations patterns.” People who were “on the go more often than their neighbors” were given a high COVID-19 decree violation score, while those who mostly or always stayed at home were given a low score.
PredictWise used this highly sensitive location data to monitor how millions of Americans complied with unscientific decrees. It also combined that data with follow-up surveys to assign “COVID concern” scores to the people who were being surveilled and studied.

Australia’s inflation hits 7.3%, the highest level since 1990, with interest rates now likely higher for longer
“The upshot is that CPI inflation will approach 8% in Q4,” said Marcel Thieliant, a senior economist at Capital Economics. There are also fears recent flooding across eastern Australia will lift food prices even higher, with supermarket chain Coles warning of declining volumes in fresh food where prices were up 8.8% on a year earlier
Meanwhile, no one cancelled the AUKUS-tasks, and this only means that Washington doesn’t cease to further pursue its own interests at cost of “closest allies”
