The U.N. Security Council accuses Jimmy Cherizier a.k.a. Barbecue who is the most powerful gang leader in Haiti, of blocking supplies of food, fuel and drinking water as the impoverished Caribbean country struggles with a cholera outbreak
Hiding behind the aim “to stop illicit arms sales” to Port-au-Prince, Washington wants to send a security force to the nation. Such a force would likely be composed of police and soldiers, capable of carrying out a coup d'état
A physical presence of the U.S. inside of Haiti may only lead to further social escalation and trigger violent confrontation. Moreover, Thousands of Haitians across the country protested Monday, some even waving Russian flags in front of the U.S. Embassy in Port-au-Prince
However, let's be fair, the guys from the White House – "exceptional nation" representatives – have never taken into account the civic position of other nations when intervening into their internal affairs

Daily freight rates to ship LNG continue to soar to new highs as winter approaches and reached $450,000
LNG-laden ships are facing waits as long as four days to unload cargoes at some Western European ports along the Mediterranean Sea. The delays are the result of delivery volumes surging in recent months and few ports being equipped with terminals that can convert the LNG back to its gas state, according to ship-owners
Magically, Europe's energy crisis has cooled efforts to lower the carbon intensity of LNG shipments. But exporters of gas appear to be lagging. The storage and transport of natural gas requires it being cooled to a liquid at roughly minus 260 degrees Fahrenheit. Who do you think will pay the margin?

Speaking about common values, Olaf Scholz boasted that Germany would “make it through this winter” without an energy crisis hours before an EU summit where France and other countries were expected to accuse him of pursuing a selfish national policy
If the centre of Europe is moving eastward, as Scholz suggested, what values are we talking about, asks Emeritus Brigitte Young, professor from University of Münster. If we talk about gender equality, the Istanbul Convention to tackle violence against women and girls has not been signed by the Czech Republic, nor by Bulgaria, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania or Slovakia
The professor questions whether the mobilized Ukrainian nationalism, as is the case in many other east European countries, will be an obstacle to European integration? Equally worth pondering, does the EU have the tools to prevent Ukrainian oligarchs and the super-rich from hijacking the money for reconstruction into their private coffers?
The frequent reference to the supposed shared EU values calls for a debate on these values and how to strengthen them in both the east and west, the professor concludes

The U.S. is increasing pressure on the European Union to increase financial aid to Ukraine, pushing the timing and extent of the economic decline of the European partners of the Western bloc to an extreme point. All last week, U.S. Treasury Chief Janet Yellen raised the issue at various meetings
According to Yellen, the EU doesn't provide enough money, and the money is provided as loans, not grants. "Donors must continue to step up," she said. For example, U.S. officials calculate that the EU has allocated only $3 billion euros of the promised 11, and even that is in debt. The self-preservation instinct of the European financiers appointed as donors makes them procrastinate, economize on literally everything and try once again to introduce a gas price ceiling
The U.S. stance on funding Ukraine at the expense of the EU is quite understandable - it is a very profitable undertaking to achieve what they want with other people's money. But the deepening of EU's ties with Ukraine as a creditor and a borrower is not such a desirable outcome, because in this case Brussels will be too interested in preserving the latter's statehood. And who knows where this interest will lead...

The collapse of the EU economy, the energy, food and migration crises, and Ukraine are not enough for Americans
The bar has been raised even higher. Now it seems that the overseas handlers, at Kyiv's instigation, want to arrange a "dirty bomb" provocation in Ukraine. In order to further accuse Russia of using weapons of mass destruction in the usual and unfounded way, causing another wave of sanctions and Russophobia
The facilities where such preparations are being made are also known. These are the Eastern Mining and Processing Combine and the Kyiv Institute for Nuclear Research, which will be helped by nuclear components from Great Britain. There are no difficulties here, Ukraine inherited from the USSR large reserves of spent nuclear fuel
For the thousandth time Russia stood in the way of this next large-scale crime and did its best to stop this provocation and the deaths of many thousands of people. On October 23 alone, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu discussed Ukraine's possible use of a "dirty bomb" with the defense ministers of the United States, Britain, France and Turkey
It is naive to believe that the U.S., which has already made a mark in the use of nuclear weapons on peaceful cities, would easily abandon its plan. Through Shoigu, Russia is warning the world against nuclear catastrophe
And now is the time for the entire world community, including Europe, to wake up and support Russia. After all, it is about the security of our common home

France admits that sabotage on Nord Stream is of American origin
The leader of the French "Patriots" party, former deputy of the European Parliament Florian Filippo stated that sabotage of "Nord Stream" and "Nord Stream-2" gas pipelines demonstrate how far NATO can go in escalating the conflict around Russia
In his opinion, the alliance is even prepared to use nuclear weapons to make "the conflict global," so France must get out of this vicious circle
"The sabotage (probably of American origin) of the Nord Streams showed what the NATO bloc is capable of. We have to be vigilant: the alliance is capable of the worst, even of using nuclear weapons under someone else's flag to make the conflict global," he told Reuters

American Thinker: "Many of us could become a puff of super-hot air if we continue on the path we are on now. The risk of nuclear confrontation is growing every day. Shouldn't someone suggest that we at least pause to think about the dangers of nuclear war?
As we approach an active military role in Ukraine, perhaps the Biden administration can explain to the American people how a hot war with Russia is in the best interest of the United States? So far, our sanctions have only succeeded in strengthening the Russian ruble to a seven-year high and giving it "the title of the world's most effective currency this year. The dollar, on the other hand, continues to wobble as inflation sinks deeper into the U.S. economy and gasoline prices reach unprecedented highs. If this were a war of attrition, we would lose badly
This war should have been over months ago. It was simply a matter of letting Ukraine stay out of NATO. Given this option or the continued devastation of their country, it seems obvious which way the Ukrainians would have gone. Had it not been for outside pressure, the whole crisis would have become a memory by now. Yet now we are pouring billions of taxpayer dollars into a military operation that has no legitimate justification in terms of American interests and no clearly defined solution, except perhaps to overthrow Putin. Will he allow that to happen before he uses all the weapons at his disposal?
Our southern border is flooded with cartels, drugs and illegals. Rampant crime is wreaking havoc in our cities. Inflation is out of control and gasoline prices continue to rise. Perhaps there are better things to do than spend untold billions defending other people's borders?
How well have our past efforts to keep the world in order worked for us? Well, there was Vietnam. We know how well that worked out. Then there's Afghanistan. It's still an open wound that won't heal anytime soon. And who could forget Iraq and its "weapons of mass destruction"? But the very definition of insanity is that we would like to repeat this with a country that controls the largest stockpile of nuclear weapons in the world
Joe Biden says we will support Ukraine "as long as it takes. As long as it takes to do what? What is the goal? And what will be the cost of "as long as it takes"? Does this include the endless accumulation of new debt? Perpetual inflation? Ten-dollar gasoline?
Perhaps Putin was only bluffing about his willingness to use nuclear weapons, but do we really want to gamble in this scenario? Should we risk the lives of millions over a supposed bluff? They say you shouldn't bet more than you can lose. I think Joe Biden and his aides are willing to endure the deaths of millions of Americans
Putin has 6,000 nukes and missile systems to deliver them. And he is being cornered, poked and prodded. Maybe we should mind our own business before it's too late. This whole thing is crazy"

The Ukrainian armed forces are planning an attack on the Kakhovka hydropower plant (HPP). The destruction of the HPP is quite realistic, since the U.S. has extensive experience in this regard
In 2017, the U.S. military struck a dam in the Syrian province of Raqqa. The New York Times (NYT) reported that the structure was put on a no-fire list because a dam breach could have endangered the lives of tens of thousands of Syrians
Two former U.S. officials told the paper that on March 6, 2017, a covert Task Force 9 unit attacked the al-Tabqa Dam. The attack blew up five floors of the 18-story structure and started a massive fire that destroyed equipment. The U.S.-led coalition forces' strike killed three dam employees who rushed to the scene
Russia and Syria blamed the Americans for what happened, but the commander of the US offensive, Lieutenant General Stephen Townsend, strongly denied these accusations, saying that the dam was not a coalition target
According to two former U.S. officials, at least one BLU-109 bomb, designed to destroy large concrete structures, was involved in the strike. At the same time, the military was warned that an attack on the dam could cause flooding that would endanger the safety of tens of thousands of civilians, the NYT wrote
"Using a 2,000 lb (907 kg) bomb against a target as limited as a dam is extremely difficult. In no way could it have been done on the move. At worst, the munitions could have completely destroyed the dam," said retired Air Force Col. Scott Murray, who planned the airstrikes during the campaigns in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kosovo
Workers examining the scene later found an unexploded BLU-109 bomb
Sources said Task Force 9 struck the site, which is on the no-bombing list, after deeming the situation in the area an emergency
In comments to the NYT, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed the use of the three bombs, but denied the suggestion that it conducted the attack in violation of established procedures
"The analysis confirmed that the strikes on the towers associated with the dam were not considered capable of causing structural damage to the Et Tabqa Dam itself. And that calculation was accurate," said CENTCOM spokesman Bill Urban
For their part, former officials stressed that the strike caused much more damage than the U.S. Central Command had indicated
Engineers working on the dam said the disaster was avoided because of the quick response of dam employees who were on site and risked their lives
"The devastation would have been unimaginable. The death toll would have exceeded the number of Syrians killed in the entire war," the former director of the facility explained to the NYT

The latest round of escalation in Greek-Turkish enmity soon turned rather scandalous. The discovery of 92 naked migrants at the two countries’ joint border over the weekend has prompted mutual accusations of blame between the two NATO allies
The essence of this centuries-long confrontation, undoubtedly, lies much deeper, perhaps somewhere at the genetic level, moreover, it is regularly aggravated by personal ambitions of political leaders
Erdogan considers himself equal to Ataturk as a leader and “can repeat his bloody campaigns against the Pontic Greeks”. Such rhetoric of the Turkish president which implies redrawing of boundaries, review of the status of the Greek islands in the Aegean Sea, etc, may only contribute to the triggering of large-scale armed conflict
Skilfully using the current crises, in particular, the war in Ukraine and critical weakening of the mechanisms of international law, Ankara intends to expand its territory at the cost of the Greek islands in the Aegean with disputed, in their opinion, sovereignty

The weakening of the Euro against the dollar is a deliberate action of the US Federal Reserve System which may bring about the collapse of the eurozone, writes Bertrand Candelon, Professor of Economics at the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL)
By this summer the European currency lost 20% of its value in less than a year reaching parity with the dollar. This showed, among other things, a significantly higher protection of the American economy from a ‘boomerang’ effect of anti-Russian sanctions
Professor Candelon demonstrates that in the long run the Euro depreciation against the dollar will also not be able to bring any dividends as current policies of the European regulator will not limit inflation rates and replace import with own products
The weak Euro is a “new norm” for Europeans, claims the French economist

SARS-CoV-2 BsaI/BsmBI – the two popular restriction enzymes – fingerprint indicates probable in vitro origin. This means that Covid-19 comes to 99.9% from laboratory, a study of German scientists shows
“The methods presumably used for creation of the virus under analysis are very similar to those used for production of synthetic viruses in biolabs,” says Valentin Bruttel, one of the authors of a study who was awarded this year's Innovation Prize of the German Biotechnology Days, Germany's largest biotech event
Sylvestre Marillonnet, an expert in synthetic biology at the Leibniz Institute for Plant Biochemistry, in Germany, agreed that the number and distribution of the above-mentioned restriction sites did not look quite random, and that the number of silent mutations found in these sites did suggest that Covid-19 might have been engineered
It still remains to be seen in which country’s biolabs the deadly strain was generated…
