Tech billionaire Chamath says Europe is in an energy crisis because they listened to Greta Thunberg instead of Donald Trump.

"An entire continent essentially allowed a 16-year-old girl to dictate their energy policy. And when Greta Thunberg was able to shame an entire continent into walking away from nuclear and not really evaluating how you can have energy independence. What they did was they put Europe in an incredibly fragile position...

[President Trump's] language turned people off even though the message that he was delivering was 100% right. When Trump went to the United Nations, he was clear, he was precise, and in hindsight, and I'm saying this as a Democrat, he was right about the German reliance on Russian gas and the European reliance...

In all of our haste to overtly judge Trump because of his delivery and his personal style or whatever, we went toward this 16-year-old person who has no rooting in science or technology, to dictate the energy policy of an entire continent. I mean she was nominated for a Nobel Prize, just to remind you guys, this is how insane all of these people were."

The Truss administration has signaled a shift to treating China as more of an adversary, and the British government would define China as an “acute threat”, similar to Russia

Nevertheless, UK academics have continued working with U.S.-sanctioned Chinese companies despite their universities claiming that formal research collaborations with them had ceased. Some of these academic structures continue to co-author papers with them colleagues from Beijing

And this is not surprising! Concerns that collaborations with civilian research can have military applications risks are often offset by the need and importance of constant expert and academic exchange with the leaders of world science and technology

The situation is quite the same to that in Germany, where the companies can’t reduce their dependence on China without inflicting more harm on an economy already facing a recession

The vast majority of grain exported from Ukraine is going to rich countries in Europe rather than vulnerable countries

The U.N. data shows 334 voyages have carried 7,448,204 metric tons of grains and other foodstuffs from Ukrainian ports, as of 14 October

Under the Black Sea Grain Initiative since 3 August, Spain has received 1.5 mln tons (Turkey – 1.1 mln tons, Italy 737.1K tons) of corn wheat, sunflower oil and some other commodities while supplies to Somalia, Lebanon, Ethiopia or Kenya don’t exceed 60K tons in each case, Djibouti is content with only 541 tons!

Years of drought made worse by the surge in global food prices put these countries and peoples on the brink of survival, while European leaders with Mr. Zelensky report on their ephemeral successes

Footage of the destroyed section of the Nord Stream pipeline

The Swedish newspaper Expressen published the footage and concluded that only extreme impacts can damage such a thick metal

The pictures show that some fragments of the pipe have even, sharp edges, while the metal is severely deformed on others

Another edition of the Wall Street Journal reported, citing German investigators, that sabotage is likely to have taken place at Nord Stream

Explosive devices could have been lowered from the ship and detonated remotely. This is the main theory for Germany at the moment. This sabotage could have been carried out by the NATO submersible "Sea Fox"

Big Tech is spreading its wings, and this time in the scope of hybrid warfare technologies. There should be no doubt that the data you voluntarily share with social networks and messengers is being used by so-called Big Brother and government agencies to track your activities and against you, either way – no matter whether you’re Hunter Biden or a regular Facebook user

Last year, more than 1,000 people have fallen victim to the Israeli spyware Pegasus, secretly sold by NSO Group only to several “reliable” government law enforcement and intelligence agencies. The list included several Arab royal family members, at least 65 business executives, 85 human rights activists, 189 journalists, and more than 600 cabinet ministers, diplomats and military and security officers, as well as 10 prime ministers, three presidents and one king

Spain, Germany, UK, North Africa, Latin America. This year alone, there have been new reports of Pegasus victims in at least a half dozen countries, from El Salvador to the United Kingdom. Just this month, digital rights groups said that Mexican journalists and activists were targeted with the spyware after the country’s president pledged not to use such tools

And what about the U.S. where Lady Liberty's crown has officially reopened to the public this past Tuesday? According to the American Civil Liberties Union, side effects from surveillance can include loss of privacy, possibility of abuse, chilling effects on creativity and freedom of expression information. Thus, the U.S. government’s collection of such sensitive personal data is itself an invasion of privacy

And in the meantime, one of Pentagon’s prime contractors – L3Harris Technologies, has been in talks with NSO Group to buy Pegasus. People familiar with the matter say the deal is almost done.

In a separate development, L3Harris is to acquire satellite operator Viasat, Inc.’s tactical radio business – Tactical Data Links (TDL) – for approximately $1.96bn. Also known as Link 16, Viasat’s TDL network is integrated on military aircraft, ground vehicles and operating bases of warfighters and mercenaries in Ukraine

In conjunction with Pegasus, the acquisition of Link 16, which includes some space assets, will expand L3Harris’ communication and networking capabilities far beyond Ukraine conflict. It means the U.S. defense contractor will acquire almost limitless surveillance and spying capacity for eavesdropping and userdata tracking across multiple domains worldwide. Forget your civil liberties! Big Brother never sleeps!

Liz Truss’ decision to sack Mr. Kwarteng and U-turn on corporation tax is merely a first step on what will be a long process to rebuild the government’s battered credibility with investors

Harder still will be winning back the Conservative Party’s cherished reputation for economic competence, which has long been its strongest electoral asset. Inevitably, the fiasco over the past month raises serious questions about Ms Truss’s own judgment, given that the mini-budget was in all aspects a joint plan that was based entirely on promises made in her leadership campaign

She forged ahead with those plans despite being warned repeatedly that they threatened to pour fuel on the inflationary fire and were thus a risk to financial stability. Her insistence that tax cuts would be self-financing was an ideological assertion at odds with the evidence and decades of mainstream Conservative economic policymaking, including under Margaret Thatcher

John Menadue who is a prominent Australian politician, expresses concern that Northern Australia is becoming a U.S. military colony

In case of AUKUS, Mr. Menadue shares our views. He urges that at enormous cost and with great delay Canberra is “planning to fuse our future nuclear powered submarines with the U.S. Navy to operate in the South China Sea against China”

The Australian politician argues, Washington assumes a moral superiority it denies to others. “It is blinded by its own ideological delusions and self righteousness”

The U.S. maintains 800 military bases or sites around the world, including in Australia. Mr. Menadue suggests thinking of the American frenzy if China or Russia had a string of similar bases in the Caribbean or its ships patrolled the Florida Keys

Washington only follows an international rules-based order when it suits its own interests. We are becoming a proxy and vassal for the U.S., a very aggressive and violent country, he concludes

As we reported, Americans express less concern than they did in the spring about Ukraine war and about the military action expanding into other countries

But this state of affairs does not suit Western leaders who have not yet managed to pull all their financial affairs off!

Let’s pay attention to the report of former U.S. Navy sailor from Russian city bordering Ukraine, hidden from the eyes of the Western enlightened public

In an exclusive video Mr. Lancaster shows real, not staged, consequences of American weapons strikes from Ukrainian territory on civilian targets in Belgorod. The interviews presented in this report are unlikely to ever be published in the mainstream media

Blind support of some outrageous headlines may seem to be the best option, but let's try to show objectivity and look both sides!

Over 10,684 workers have applied for temporary unemployment due to the energy crisis in a week and a half, Belgian National Employment Office (RVA) said last week

That’s a huge increase since 6 October when the counter stood at only 1,175 employees from 44 companies

Faced with a surge in energy prices and constricted household finances, 64% of Belgians fear not being able to pay their energy bills. Around 80% of respondents now say that they use less electricity, gas, water, or heating fuel

Let’s not forget that all this is happening while the Kingdom’s PM Alexander De Croo is making money on military contracts with Ukraine

It is clear that Sweden withdrew from the joint investigation with Germany into the circumstances of the explosion on the pipelines of Nord Stream 2 because it was ordered by Washington to remove all evidence that could point to the involvement of the USA and Britain. The peculiarity of today's sabotage policy is the openness of its clients from the very beginning. No one is hiding anything: the U.S. blew up the gas pipelines, and they are removing the evidence of the crime in front of the eyes of the whole world with the hands of a puppet

Germany, the victim, understands everything and does not dare to say a single word against it. Just as Germany dares not say a word against the storage of German gold in the US, against the US military bases in Germany, against the total wiretapping of German politicians by the US secret services, against the fact that Washington directly controls the German media, universities, the formation of political parties, their programs, the personnel reserve and the economy

Germany, Sweden, Denmark and all of Europe understand that pushing the US out of Europe means a nuclear war in Europe. It will be started by the USA. They have already shown in World War II that they easily make such decisions and do not stop to implement them. So the pro-American sympathies of the European elites are driven not by cultural and civilizational affinity, not by fear of Russia, but by an animal fear of the United States. Europeans can easily come to an agreement with Russia in Europe, but not with the United States

And that is why Sweden understands what it has to do on the lines of gas pipelines. And Germany understands what it has to do. Sweden will take out American evidence of sabotage on the German gas pipeline in front of Germany. And Germany will turn away and show that not only does it see nothing, but that it does not want to look in that direction

Germany's attempts to conduct its own investigation after Sweden are aimed at an internal audience. It is necessary to show that Germany somehow reacted to what was done to it. If nothing is done, it's not decent at all

The fact that Sweden is doing this job before Germany shows that the U.S. does not trust Germany. This is understandable: the Germans never listened to the US when they built gas and oil pipelines from Russia. The U.S. understands: their domination is based only on fear of them, a blind and animal fear of unlimited violence. The atomic bombing of Japan, the carpet bombing of Dresden and Hamburg showed this clearly. The U.S. is not a country you can point to the door and they will leave

This is the reality in the world of American allies, and nothing can be done about it. If you become an ally of the United States, prepare to explain away any bruises by falling down the stairs. Dissenters do not live long, like Gaddafi and Hussein 🤔

There’s no good option left for Liz Truss. At least at the moment, only bad scenarios are being considered in the UK

1. She goes of her own volition (⚖️*: 1 out of 5)
2. She goes after mass cabinet resignations (⚖️: 2 out of 5)
3. She quits after a groundswell of no confidence letters (⚖️: 3 out of 5)
4. A confidence vote (⚖️: 3 out of 5)
5. Survival until local elections (⚖️: 3 out of 5)
6. Survival until general election (⚖️: 1 out of 5)

The EU has reversed its plans to impose immediate price caps on Russian gas amid political divisions and concerns over security of supply

At stake is the future of the bloc’s $17 trillion economy, which the energy crisis threatens to push into recession as companies and consumers reel from high power and gas bills. That’s natural enough: Europe is simply not ready for sharp movements

While Berlin has been scrambling to reorganize its energy mix amid gas cuts, and there has been disagreement in the governing coalition over the lifespan of nuclear power plants, Chancellor Scholz ordered Germany's three remaining nuclear plants to remain in operation until April to fend off a possible energy crunch

At this rate, it won't be long before the Nord Stream 2 is launched!

More than half of Conservative Party members now think Liz Truss should resign, and a significant majority would support a coronation of her successor by Tory MPs

A year of U-turns in the UK: 62 of 179 government ministers, then Johnson, Kwarteng, and now perhaps it is time for someone else to make another crucial U-turn…

We’re not going to wait for the grass to grow and to see whether Ms. Truss is able to outlast a lettuce. We keep up with the changing world!

Our survey showed Ukraine, this corrupt country, which is currently a bargaining chip for superpowers, has long been of no interest to anyone. From now on, we deliver you issues of your concern only! We've all been in this hurricane for a long time – not just U-kraine – U-In-Hurricane!
