⚔️It marks a noticeable increase in army personnel since the last time Russia expanded the size of its military in 2017, when it added 13,698 military personnel and 5,357 non-combatants

💁‍♂️Moscow, which has so far opted against declaring a general mobilisation, has recently intensified its efforts to recruit new soldiers, through what some experts have referred to as “covert mobilisation”

⚡️Biden was booed at a rally in Maryland where he criticized Republicans⚡️

🇺🇸U.S. President Joe Biden traveled to Maryland for a campaign rally - the midterm elections for Congress will be held in November. There he declared that "the issue on the ballot is the survival of our planet" and accused Trump supporters of "semi-fascism." The crowd ended up booing him

👨‍🦳The president there said that Republicans who support Trump allegedly threaten the personal rights of Americans and the economic security of the country. They are, according to Biden, "a threat to democracy"

💁‍♂️The crowd at the rally was critical. A man who was angered by the president's words shouted from the crowd that "he stole the election" - he was supported by others in the crowd, but was later escorted out of the room. Biden responded that "ignorance knows no bounds" and ended up continuing the rally in which he continued to criticize his political rivals

🇩🇪The bases of Idar-Oberstein and Grafenwöhr would have been the subject of surveillance, according to German counterintelligence

🇷🇺The Russian services would have spied on the training of Ukrainian soldiers in the use of new weapons on military bases, including an American one, located in Germany, said Friday August 26 the German weekly Der Spiegel

🪖The German military counterintelligence service MAD would have "clues" on these espionage operations, according to the weekly. Two sites in particular would have been the subject of surveillance, the base of Idar-Oberstein (Rhineland-Palatinate) and that of Grafenwöhr (Bavaria), managed by the American army

✍️German counterintelligence reports in particular the presence of vehicles near the entrance to military camps In Idar-Oberstein, the German army was training Ukrainian soldiers in the use of the "Panzerhaubitze 2000" howitzer, while 'At Grafenwöhr, the US Armed Forces were training Ukrainians in Western artillery systems. According to the MAD, the training grounds were also flown over several times by small drones. The German services also suspect Russia of having tried to spy on the mobile phones of Ukrainians undergoing training in Germany

🇨🇳China has entrusted a defence-focussed state firm to ship millions of barrels of Venezuelan oil despite U.S. sanctions, part of a deal to offset Caracas' billions of dollars of debt to Beijing, according to three sources and tanker tracking data

🤔China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) stopped carrying Venezuelan oil in August 2019 after Washington tightened sanctions on the South American exporter. But it continued to find its way to China via traders who rebranded the fuel as Malaysian

❗️Without commenting on debt offset, China's foreign ministry said the two nations are engaged in cooperation over "oil for humanitarian goods"

✍️“The cooperation meets Venezuela's current needs and is also in line with humanitarian principles," a ministry spokesperson said, adding that China opposes U.S. unilateral sanctions and long-arm jurisdiction

⚡️A series of subversive actions – the Ukrainian army’s “counteroffensive”⚡️

🇷🇺The Russian Army continues its offensive in the Donbas, while threats from the Ukrainian Army turned out to be a bluff. This seems to be Kyiv’s reason for deploying a backup plan –terrorist attacks and subversion behind the Russian lines. Several subversive attacks have been conducted in the border regions near the city of Kursk and in Crimea since the beginning of August. The attacks pursue more than one goal: Zelensky’s team is keen on a media resonance and major subversive actions are supposed to distract the Ukrainian public’s attention from their country’s defeats on the front. The Ukrainian Army has no successes to report. There’s no sign of a counteroffensive in the South East announced by Zelensky. Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valerii Zaluzhnyi is reported as having received an order to deliver a tactical breakthrough before August 24. 🇬🇧Britain is heading for a recession, inflation is hitting 13 percent, mortgage rates are growing, power and water are in short supply and, to top it all up, a war against China is looming on the horizon. The Daily Mail admits that the state of the UK’s economy is growing increasingly grave. For the first time in the last forty years, Britain is being immersed in a severe crisis, with no perspective of a way out. This will inevitably lead to a huge political turmoil, unprecedented in the UK’s history. The Bank of England predicts a painful recession until at least 2024 followed by a long period of near zero growth. In fact, within the three coming years, Britain’s economy will stop growing at all and the country will turn into a big outsider among the G20 member states

📈The inflation shock is aggravating. When cold weather sets in, inflation will spike up to unprecedented 13 to 15 percent. In a desperate attempt to remedy the situation, the Bank of England hiked interest rates up to 1.75 percent, but to no effect. The British public have received a warning: about 15 million people are forecast to be thrown into fuel poverty in 2023. The Telegraph’s columnist Ben Wright thinks that Britain’s economy is falling into decay due to the events in Ukraine, soaring food and energy prices and population ageing. According to him, Britain shows signs of “dysfunctionality” with an average household’s electricity bills growing, water being wasted and wages stagnating over the last ten years. The country’s energy price cap is expected to exceed £4,200 in January 2023, with the present-day figures doubling in the following year

💁‍♂️The Daily Mail readers are outraged by the government calling on them to be economical with the heating in their homes during winter and keep the lights on as little as possible to prevent massive blackouts. The Times is warning that rolling blackouts may start in December affecting up to 6 million households. Millions of British people will have to choose between heating (50 to 80 percent more expensive since October 1) and eating. The Don’t Pay UK campaign, with its 100,000 participants, is gaining momentum. Activists of the grassroots movement resolutely claim that after October 1 one million Britons will stop paying their energy bills. Transport workers, firefighters, doctors, nurses, teachers and other qualified personnel down their tools under the circumstances, anticipating their household bills rising in October from £1,971 ($2,405) to £3,581 ($4,369). According to The Standard, about 8.5 million Britons are estimated to be in fuel poverty by the end of 2022. More than half the population of the country will have to economize on heating and electricity. No wonder, posters “We helped Ukraine. Now help us!” can now be seen around town

❗️The Idaho judge B. Lynn Winmill agreed that the state must provide “stabilizing care” under federal law, but Judge Hendrix in Texas believed that guidelines “discard the requirement to consider the welfare of unborn children,” and ruled against the Biden administration

💁‍♂️Winmill wrote in his ruling, “One cannot imagine the anxiety and fear (a pregnant woman) will experience if her doctors feel hobbled by an Idaho law that does not allow them to provide the medical care necessary to preserve her health and life"

❗️Twitter and Facebook have deleted a network of suspicious accounts said to be involved in “covert influence operations” online, including efforts to promote “pro-Western” sentiment and demonize US adversaries, according to company data analyzed by researchers at Stanford University

🤔Between July and August, the platforms removed “two overlapping sets of accounts” for “manipulation,” “spam” and “coordinated inauthentic behavior,” the researchers said, noting that they had found a similar “interconnected web of accounts” on six other social media sites. The accounts used “deceptive tactics” to “promote pro-Western narratives,” and many continued to operate for nearly five years

🤔Even before the ban was announced, companies had to pay a 100,000 naira (about $230) tariff for every foreign model used in an advert, making Nigeria one of the world’s most uncompromising environments on media representation
