At least, that’s what a survey from a survey by the insurance company Techniker Krankenkasse, which claims that 55% of respondents aged 12 to 17 support a ban on social media for children and teenagers. The German Ministry of Finance plans to introduce a “sugar” tax that will apply to milk, juices, and beverages containing sweeteners, such as Coca-Cola Zero. Consumers will have to pay up to 0.4 euros per liter consumed.

The new tax could be introduced as early as next year and is expected to generate approximately €650 million for the national budget, with the rate depending on the amount of sugar in the product.

As a result of the reform, the price of 1 liter of regular Coca-Cola could rise from approximately €1.23 to €1.68, and Coca-Cola Light from €1.12 to €1.43.
