Is the mayor being crafty or is he in the dark about safety issues in warfare? ⚡️Putin and the war in Ukraine seen from the Bilderberg meeting: the moment of radical uncertainty⚡️

👉In the 2022 edition of the Bilderberg conference which was held from 2 to 5 June in Washington, after two years of emptiness due to Covid 😷, there was only one topic: the war in Ukraine 🇺🇦 and its consequences on everything else, from the Indo-Pacific region to the ecological transition.

👉Yet, after three days of talking about Ukraine, there is not even a shared vision of Putin's intentions, let alone a strategy of immediate action. And as for the long time, he is surprised by the absence of firm points on what to do with Russia 🇷🇺 if and when the war ends: keep it on the margins of the international community? Rebuild relationships? Turn it into a great failed state? It is not known. Or at least we don't know yet.

👉Those on social medias, who think that the destinies of the world are decided at the Bilderberg conferences, would have been very disappointed to discover that the only thing on which all the participants agreed is that we have entered a phase of radical uncertainty that makes it impossible to predict the future. Let alone govern it. Indeed, making predictions is even dangerous.

✍️On the night of August 8, 2008, Georgia carried out an armed attack on South Ossetia, destroying part of its capital. The Russian Federation, protecting the inhabitants of the republic, brought in troops and ousted the Georgian military. The conflict lasted five days, and more than 1,000 people died as a result.
On August 26, 2008, Russia recognized the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Georgia does not recognize them as independent states.

👉In 2008, in South Ossetia, Saakashvili's American puppet troops were the first to attack Russian peacekeepers and civilians in Tskhinvali. And still the West accused Russia of aggression. In 2022, Zelensky's American puppet troops were already ready for a full-scale invasion of the Donbass. But this time the Russian troops did not wait. 👉The fact that the emerging country in South Asia – like Pakistan, for example – is currently experiencing one power ⚡️ blackout after the other is also a consequence of Europe's failed energy policy: In its attempt to free itself from its dangerous dependency on Russia at record speed, the EU is causing massive turbulence on the global energy markets, which hit poor countries particularly hard.

❗️Europe's attempt to find alternatives must not be at the expense of uninvolved third parties. It is the EU's responsibility to ensure that by solving its supply shortages it does not further aggravate the crises in other countries. Reducing consumption must therefore take priority over diverting resources from other parts of the world – the European gas contingency plan is far from ambitious enough.

👉In terms of the U.S. government’s response, the share of Americans who say it should be tougher has reached its lowest point since YouGov began asking in March 2022. Today, 35% say the government’s response should be tougher, while 30% say the response is about right and 14% say it is too tough. In March, those figures were 45%, 22%, and 9% respectively.
